Have had plenty of 2.0 Edges in our work fleet go well over 100k, never had any engine issues related to dirty valves. Transmissions have been a different story, don't believe the "lifetime/150k" mile trans fluid story.

I have. The hated 1.5 EB in an escape. Other than the known head issues, it was GREATNot necessarily in a Maverick of course. I'm asking because I'm curious about your experience. You browse the Web and you hit on all these stories about how EcoBoost engines dirty up the valves, etc. How they won't last. It's the Web. You don't know what to believe. So I'm just wondering if anybody has personal anecdotes to share.
I have an old anemic 4 cylinder Ford engine, normally aspirated - not particularly working all that hard. It's at 102,000 miles without incident and plugging along happily. Just wondering what I can look forward to with my EcoBoost, should I ever receive it.
cam phaser issue still happens on various V6 ecoboost. I'm not sure if it's a design flaw or what.I had a 2012 F150 with 3.5L Eco. Around 175,000 miles I finally started to get the infamous rattle at start up which was common on the those very early 3.5.
