Good luck with the Ridgeline, it is a fine vehicle. We test drove a base model, a Sport I think. It was okay, nothing exciting or terrible about it. Wife wanted something different and liked the Mav when she drove it.

On my first tank ever as we speak, will be happy to average 25 mpg as the wife drives mostly local stop-n-go. Looking forward to a first highway trip to see what it can do on the open road. Glad to hear that 30 mpg is possible on the highway.
Yes, 25 combined mileage is pretty much the best you're going to find anywhere unless you go non-truck/suv. And yes, it's possible, but I wouldn't count on 30+ (hand calculated) on the highway at 70+mph unless you've got favorable conditions (e.g., flat roads, no significant headwinds, etc.). I can get 33 mpg driving 62 on the freeway through long construction zones with light traffic, but that's hardly the norm (i.e., driving that slow on a 70 mph posted freeway will eventually lead to road rage by other drivers).

After 3300 miles, my FX4 Lariat, AWD, and 4K towing pkg. I'm averaging about 25.5 mpg. I live in the Texas Hill Country so I am always going up and down hills with lots of winding curves. Some interstate travel to San Antonio and Pecos at about 75 mph. Best short term mpg was to Gonzales, TX on relatively flat interstate doing 70-75 mph: 31 mpg. Pretty much bank on 25-26 mpg overall ;)

Thanks for the info. Most of the highway speed limits around here are 55 or 65, so that would be the max. Not much in the way of hills locally until we get into upstate NY or CT. Will be interesting to see what happens.
