Yes, 25 combined mileage is pretty much the best you're going to find anywhere unless you go non-truck/suv. And yes, it's possible, but I wouldn't count on 30+ (hand calculated) on the highway at 70+mph unless you've got favorable conditions (e.g., flat roads, no significant headwinds, etc.). I can get 33 mpg driving 62 on the freeway through long construction zones with light traffic, but that's hardly the norm (i.e., driving that slow on a 70 mph posted freeway will eventually lead to road rage by other drivers).Good luck with the Ridgeline, it is a fine vehicle. We test drove a base model, a Sport I think. It was okay, nothing exciting or terrible about it. Wife wanted something different and liked the Mav when she drove it.
On my first tank ever as we speak, will be happy to average 25 mpg as the wife drives mostly local stop-n-go. Looking forward to a first highway trip to see what it can do on the open road. Glad to hear that 30 mpg is possible on the highway.
