Consider taking it to a detail shop. They deal with stuff like that (or worse) all the time. Going off of prices out by me, I’m guessing it would cost you 200-300 for a full interior and exterior detail. Pricey? Sure. But will they clean it better than you, me, or anyone else? 100%.
Traded my ‘21 Ranger for a ‘24 CR-V. After the poor experience that was the Ranger, I went back to Honda (it’s my third). Honestly, best one I’ve owned so far and when compared to my wife’s Escape, the Honda comes out on top for both of us in all categories. When it comes time for her to get a...
Def worth considering an ESP for the Ranger, 56k is right at the end of the powertrain coverage. If you have any symptoms of a bad transmission (more common than it should be on the 5Gs and is a major reason I got rid of my ‘21 XLT a few months ago) it’ll be worth the money. Hop on over to the...
Recently put a set of WeatherReadys on the wife’s escape instead of the WeatherReady 2 because of the lack of reviews. If the WR2s are anything like the WRs they replaced, I’d buy em. They’re incredibly quiet, grip well on loose pavement, and have higher mileage rating than peers - all things...
Just replaced the Goodyear Assurance Maxlifes on the wife’s Escape last month that made it 85k problem free miles in about four years. Not many tires out there can actually hit this milestone. She drives all pavement and our winters in northern Illinois are mild. No issues with traction in the...
The wife has a ‘17 Escape SE with the 1.5 currently hovering around 150k miles, but that’s after having the long block replaced at 111k due to catastrophic engine failure due to coolant intrusion into the cylinders at highway speeds. It was $10k for a new motor and turbo to be installed by Ford...
Fear of buyers remorse is why I’m still in a ‘21 Ranger XLT 4WD. I’ve been holding on for an AWD Mav Hybrid, but if it turns out to not be a thing or is outside what I want to spend, then I’ll be looking at non-Ford options like CPO Hondas. The Ranger has made me realize how much better (in...
I’m currently in the market for a hybrid Mav (trading in my ‘21 Ranger) and am curious if there is any truth to the Ford Authority story showing a Hybrid available as an AWD for 2025. Anyone have resources they can share that covers this? Thanks in advance! And ‘hello’ from a new member. 👋
