Grill bar replacement

They are just inset pieces that fit the clips in the headlights held in place by four small screws. I was so wrapped up in removing logo without damaging I didn't even notice them till after I had put in new grill bar and felt dumb for missing them but gril bar is anchored in across grill so it's not a problem but feels incomplete without them being attached.

Just an update on the grill bar. got it in today. So it comes in a glossy black finish. same size as the mavericks. The only downside is one of the 12 clips has broken off. Another of the clips is about to break off. probably fixable with epoxy or ca glue. Otherwise this turned out well. just gotta figure out if I want this to be the atlas blue or chrome one since I want to see how both look.

I took mine off and repainted it metallic blue. Matches the rest of the blue wrap

If anyone bought this and is not using it i would be willing to entertain buying it. These have been out of stock on their ebay store and a quick chat they did not show any interest in getting any more in.

Update if anyone is following this thread. Rockauto has, what I’m assuming is the exact same part. Just got it in today. Unfortunately it is twice as much as the eBay one OP posted. Here is a picture of it.

That doesn't look glossy though. I think the eBay one is a knock off part and that's why it's glossy? This one from RA looks much better. Can you share the link to it?

Thought id do a small update, Actually did try painting it. Chrome paint works well but everything after the initial coats went downhill. I'll be getting it repainted to color match the truck later on. He're is what it looked like after the chrome paint but before the clear coat.

Perfect. I found some part numbers for OEM ones and they were outrageously priced. I'll add this one to my list.

Yeah all the OEM options were reaching the 300 mark. Part of the reason why I pulled the trigger on this one. Seems decent quality and only noticed one burr line in the plastic but should buff out with some touch and patience. Overall I’m happy with the purchase and on my way to fulfilling my FX4 w/ BAP dream lol

I actually made another thread asking about those inset pieces and nobody replied to what they were. Since I haven't taken my grill apart yet, I haven't really looked at them either.

Slight update on my end. The clips on the ebay bar did not align with those two insert pieces. They were the wrong angle so either sand them off or adjust the 2 inserts. its honestly annoying but an easy fix with a dremel. I'm not sanding the bar as it was already painted.

I’ve been wanting to change my Lariat “silver” center bar to matte black to match the rest of the grille. If you go to the trouble of removing the OEM bar, any thoughts on using Plastidip on the OEM bar & re-install? It looks to be a good match.
I had very good results covering a couple of chrome parts as well as fender stripes on my 14 Mustang. Lasted a long time with no scratches or fading.
