Why did he need to use the app when they knew exactly where the truck was when it crashed and he took off on foot. The app didn't tell him anything different than the police already knew.

This Target is next to Willowbrook Ford where I purchased my Mavericks. I live south of there in a more rural area and there generally isn't any issues except when urbanites like this invade.
