First world problems when people are dyi
OUCH !!!! Bet Sirius/XM loved her for paying that much. 😧 We currently have two vehicles subscribed and are only paying $3/month for a locked in 36 month contract. That's $6/month or $72/year for TWO vehicles. In two years when the contract expires we'll likely cancel.
what package can you get for that? I would jump on it. I'm paying $6/month

Remove the air conditioner vents, which will expose the wires to the radio head. Unplug the yellow wire, which is the wire to the SiriusXM antenna.

I have a 2025 Lariat Hybrid. While my values were slightly different making the changes mentioned removed the Sirius tab from sources.

ACM

727-01-01 3017 30F6 009D

APIM

7D0-01-01 A081 2800 BCDE
7D0-01-03 42A2 00A5 0C70

Sirius is something I’ll never use.

Thanks.
XL values for reference

727-01-01 3xxx xxxx xxxx change 3 to B
7D0-01-01 2xxx x8xx xxxx change 2 to 0, 8 to 0
7D0-03-03 xxxx xxx2 xxxx change 2 to 0

If you changed

7D0-01-03

You made a mistake lol. Might mess up trailer lighting or something. Instead, you should have changed

7D0-03-03 xxxx xxx2 xxxx 2 to 0, or if you had a 3, change it to 1

But, if you still don’t have Sirius in sources, that change is also unnecessary.

Also, Lariat

7D0-01-01 Axxx xxxx xxxx

enables something in the dsp, in addition to the satellite radio. Probably has to do with the b&o sound system. Lariat owners should do

7D0-01-01 8xxx xxxx xxxx

Instead of what I suggested the XL owners do.

Are you sure the yellow wire?
Because under the LED light I see what appears to be 2 yellow wires.
And someone said unplugging the other yellow appearance wire disables the squid launcher.
Or blows up the truck - can't recall.
Pretty bad effect in either case!

Sirius works great for me as I have just one reachable prerecorded same fifty bullshit pop songs channel in these mountains.
Satellite’s are easy to catch, all above me, duh.

It was $10 a month, just went up to $12.80
I like it,
Got all my old rock stuff,

Cassette era,
Classic,
Hair Nation,
Ozzy’s bone yard,
The Dead.
70,80,90 crappy pop music is fun sometimes,
I like my classical,
Country depresses me, when I need it.
Metallica, and five or six other channels I like.
I also like the channels You like but I pay $8.55 a month until this coming December IIRC!!

I enjoy my Sirius XM subscription. I buy it by the year.

The 40’s channel is my standard selection. I also play it in the house through my iPhone blue tooth connection with a wireless sound system.

Sometimes I just play it through my iPhone while it’s in my shirt pocket, like when I’m sitting outside on the patio having morning coffee and watching my two mini poodles chase around and have their zoomies.

My wife enjoys Sirius XM too. Plays different oldies from 70’s and 80’s. I don’t consider 70’s & 80’s music to be oldies. Heck, it’s still current. My wife and I were born in the 50’s.

My son, a full-time college student enjoys his Sirius too. He loves classical and my 40’s station.

Sirius XM is a good thing in our house and vehicles.
I also renewed mine last December and it's good until this December for $8.55 a month but only use it in My Maverick. I listen to some FM Stations at home but most of the time I play CD's at Home!!

Here's what they sent me. This was almost a year ago AFTER I cancelled FOUR subscriptions. The subscriptions that I cancelled were the $6/month deals. I've never paid over 100 for the music package. Maybe it was their way of begging me to come back at that very low price. So I jumped on it and it's been just about a year with two more to go.

I paid $500 for a lifetime subscription in 2006. Wife thought I was crazy. For you old timers, Classic Radio station plays old radio shoes. Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel, Dragnet, etc. If you use the app, there is about a 6 hour window you can go back to to pick shows. You can also go back and listen to other shows played for the last week or so. I listen when I go to bed, because my brain won't shut down.

Appears your wife knew what would happen every single night!

You have to contact them once a year and threaten to cancel so they cut the price way down.
Funny... my app-only subscription was about to renew at 2x the price - and they called my bluff this year. I went through the motions to cancel, and they said... "bye." 🤣

Looks like I am taking a break from SXM, maybe until football season.

Good plan. As soon as they realize that "you really left", then they will start the mailings, emails, texts, etc. to BEG you to come back. At some point they should offer you an incredible deal, then sign back up!

Any amount of money for something you don't want is too much money.

Not to mention it was only a good idea when everyone had 56k internet, a USB stick only fit half a CD and users were so technically illiterate they couldn't find what they wanted on the internet or transcode their CDs.

I feel like a lot of ppl aren't realising this is a post about how to get rid of it, not about how much you want to suck their sausage.

Good point. Too often we all get "off topic" a bit. Time to start a new "specific to Sirius renewal info" post

Specific to Sirius renewal =
Sirius this last week replaced Senior notes $1,000,000,000 @ 3.125% maturing 9/1/2026 with $1,250,000,000 @ 5.875% maturing in 2032. Plus cost of programming and other expenses are increasing at this time!!! Maybe a month or two ago would have been the time to lock in a 3 year renewal???? Has the lender "suggested" renewal policies???

The OP "iam2sam" is mad at Ford, for possibly sending Serious XM his information. That may be true or Sirius XM could be a subscriber to
LexisNexis, one of the largest data collection companies in the U.S. if not the world.
You don't have to directly give Ford or Sirius XM any information.
Your Information is out there for the taking. Including the cars you own w/ VIN
