Just because it’s in the manual doesn’t mean it is in the production model. My 22 manual has instructions for navigation, but that feature never made it to production in 22 models.
When I complain that this kit does not support SiriusXM satellite radio, don’t respond by telling me there are options to XM satellite radio. I know all about the options. I could use the SiriusXM app on my phone and connect via CarPlay or AndroidAuto, and there are other workarounds. I don’t...
Suppose you already have a SiriusXM antenna installed with a RoadyBT tuner. Any way to plug that antenna into this? If not, this product seems a total mis-fire. All that money and effort to install it, and at the end of the still DO NOT have the capabilities of factory Sync 4 system.
What does it mean, “SiriusXM with 360L”? What is 360L? Ford.com build and order section for 2025 makes no mention of SiriusXM. What 2025 Mavericks get SiriusXM?
You have to connect the VAIS to an always on fuse tap. If it is connected it to a power source which goes off with the ignition, then all preset stations are erased with the loss of power.
FM antenna input is second plug from left, the dark one. However, you need one Fakra adopter to connect the vehicle antenna wire to the Sirius adopter, and a second Fakra adopter to connect the Sirius adopter to the vehicle radio. Both are available on Amazon.
This connection really does not...
You should understand that without a rear window defroster to augment reception, a fin antenna need a whip to receive broadcast signals. The Escape has a rear window defroster; the the Maverick does not.
@Justin, thanks for the info and pix. My goal is to replace my RoadyBT XM receiver with the Vias Tech. It is a multi-step process to switch the Maverick Bluetooth connection from iPhone to Roady and back again; it just CANNOT be done safely while driving. Until recently there was no Vias to...
If you drive in an area with poor cell service, get a RoadyBT receiver from the XM radio site, Crutchfield, BestBuy, or elsewhere. Mount the antenna on the front roof, and route the antenna wire behind the windshield, thru the gap between A pillar and fender, behind the front door...
If you decide to go route of dropping the headliner and replacing the antenna, you will need an adopter. Attached is a picture previously published in this website of the connections to the Maverick radio headend. The XM signal runs thru the blue connector. The grey wire ends in a Fakra...
Improved scans of the wiring diagram, and a scan of the rear cab wiring showing location of the antenna wire and connector. The connector on the end of the cab wiring seems to match the connector on the end of the antenna.
If you are going through the task of dropping the headliner, then while you have access to it you might as well replace the stock antenna, part MCPZ18936B, with the antenna for the Lariat Lux, part MCPZ18936C. According the the pictures on the parts website, both antennae have three pigtail...
Won’t that require lowering the headliner? Same procedure as for the air bag recall. Read some of the horror stories on this site about the condition of their Maverick after taking it in for the air bag recall. There is another way that requires no disassembly. See my post above.
