Suggestion: Keep your right hand (along with your left hand) on the steering wheel as you drive.
I think this handle/rest is meant to use while Maverick is stationary not while driving?
Although a real manual shift lever should never be used as a hand rest as that habit damages the shifter innards. Resting your hand on an automatic trans shift lever is fine though.

I built a faux gear shift hand rest for the Mav. I find my right arm looking for a place to rest with the absence of a lever gear shift.

3D printed with some carbon fiber infused PETG...two miniature gas struts and a repurposed skipping rope handle.

Real nice mod. I wondered what a cool sound would be when the yoke was pulled back all the way. Maybe reverse thrust sound being applied through a sub woofer?

You use your left foot to brake? Odd. Most take right foot off go pedal to push brake pedal. Oh oh, here we go. 😉
When I took Drivers Ed back in the early 70’s - I was taught to brake with the left foot. Did not take me long to break that habit!

Not nearly as ingenious as the OP, but gave me inspiration. I placed an upside down water bottle as a place to rest my right hand while waiting at a stoplight etc. It even wiggles back & forth slightly like a manual in neutral:)

No, but I was replying to a comment about keeping the left foot on the brake pedal. The only reason ever to have your left foot on the brake pedal would be for braking.

Nice!
I don’t recommend fuel cut off switches.

Wow. Remember way back when the mods we did were to improve performance? 4 bbl carb. Headers. Modified camshaft. Less restrictive exhaust. Makes me long for those days. At least I can still make mods to my motorcycle.

Hmmmm.....
I see where vs#2 could have stops with each one turning the dial to P,R,N,L and a thumb button that could activate low. Perhaps the repurposed jump rope handle could also rotate to select the drive mode. Maybe a pinkie button to brake hold on/off?
First thing I thought when I saw it, since I was already thinking of something like that for awhile, I got as far as making a gear to go around the knob and then was distracted by life.
