I drove a V6 Ranger on my last job it got 12 mpg in town, we only had 1 road that had a 55mph speed limit. Would hate to be the person that bought that at auction. I'd go through a tank of gas a month.

In honor of Halloween and the annual fun size vs. full size candy debate recently, I had to take some shots comparing my Mav to my dads newly delivered F250 🤣

Love the side by sides. I would really like a side by side with an original Ranger or S-10.
I drove an S-10 all through college. Loved that truck. Maverick is bigger than the S-10 was though. Wider and longer.

Thanks for the pictures. It looks like from the photos, you guys live either in town or close to it. Besides towing, will the F250 be used for work loads or for leisure?

I have a 2 seater ranger. 303,000 miles on original clutch, transmission, and motor. but the 2 seat doesnt work with family. And of course everything non mechanical is falling apart. :giggle:

The maverick will be so much more comfort with more capacity. I just hope its half as reliable as my ranger.

I’m gonna guess you could buy 2 Mavericks for the price of his?🤣

my other brother just got the new 7.3 gas super duty. That thing is like a 8000 lbs sports car.
I Have both in the garage, my 3/4 is connected to a trailer that weights 12k 90% of the time. i have my Mav as a daily driver For work commuting unloaded HWY I get a hair over 20 and the Mav about 29.

what is interesting Diesel has been under $3 per gal and Premium has been nearly $4 thus about the same fuel cost.

just for fun I was going to hook up my Mav to my travel trailer.

if you compared the top of the line Mav to the top of the line 3/4 you could buy nearly 3.

yep he has to back his in and it has 2 inches of clearance to the garage door!
Man, the Mav is for me. If I had to back a 250 into my garage, say good bye to the shelves, because they’d maybe last a week. 😂

love the side-by-side, father and son pic. I’ll have to do the side-by-side with my son once I get my hybrid. (He’s seven, so it’ll be beside his ride-along 4x4, which, in my estimation, might be about the same size as the Mav.) 🤣😂🤣

Great pics, I notice the front plate. Did dealer drill holes or did you. I’m in Idaho ordered from Corwin Ford. I don’t want dealer to drill.

Outta of curiosity what kind of MPG does your Dad get from his truck? Those big trucks always seemed like tanks to me! I seem to remember some Army tanker telling me an Abrams tank gets about 4-5 mpg, which stuck in my head all these years because I remember my '68 Malibu with a 427 used to get about 10-12 mpg depending the weight of my 18 year old foot!! So I thought twice as good as a tank! o_O🤣🤣
Ex tanker here, it’s more like .30 to .50 mpg. 504 gallon fuel tank with about 250 mile range on road.

On the Maverick? I asked Kendall not to drill it and there’s no holes. Plate is mounted with a Cravenspeed Platypus. F250 has the Ford mount but I think my dad said it actually isn’t drilled and mounts by wrapping around the grill/bumper piece.

I always thought the people driving around in an 8000 lbs truck not hauling a thing are incredibly inefficient.
I was one of those people LOL. But as it turned out, it was cheaper to own/drive my V10 F-250 hauling sailboat fuel than it was to rent a 3/4 ton from Enterprise once or twice a month. The mileage fees are killer.
