Again, I don't see a contradiction there. I don't believe anyone has come forward with Ford officially telling them that they're being rolled over. Ford would want as much runway as possible. The dealer is more likely to know their projected allocation than a Ford CSR.
Whether it's a contradiction doesn't depend on why they said it. It depends on what was said. A contradiction is "a combination of statements ... that are opposed to one another."

@Mite-o-Dan was told:
  1. "your order has rolled over to MY 2023" and
  2. "your order is still in the queue for production in MY 2022."
To me, those statements seem opposed to one another. One says I won't get my truck until MY23. The other says I might get it in MY22. If someone told me both those things, I would try to find out which was true. But if you think they are consistent with one another, well... that's ok.

Galpin ford is as far as I'm concerned a high volume dealer and I ordered my bare bones XL in June and you got yours when you ordered it in January?? I smell a rat

The dealer gave me priority 99 and after i changed my 1st order to an XLT they moved it to priority 10. I saw the truck online in their inventory, kept in contact with them and never got a email from FORD for progress. The dealer called me and ask if I wanted the original order. Sure an XL why not? Such a cool truck. If you dont buy it, the dealers marks it up 15K

Yes, but my point is that an uninformed person the low-level CSR can't contradict anything because they're uninformed. It's the same rationale as weighing an expert in the field equally against a facebook meme.

If we take the rational approach and say maybe every dealer isn't scum. There are too many occurrences of dealers openly stating to customers they won't be getting their mavericks this year. To write it that off versus the "maverick team" running through a pretty standard script of where is my order, what is the deal.

We've basically been in a holding pattern of dealerships telling customers something, customers coming to the forums in a panic, people contacting the "maverick team" to assuage their doubts, then a C-level or dealer memo confirming what we've heard from the dealerships a month or two later.

Keep in mind, most fleet orders will be bare bones XLs with no constraints. They will float up to the top when constraints prevent other builds from being scheduled.
The argument was with some folks who were insistent that Ford was going to prioritize retail orders over fleet orders, to the point they were claiming Ford wouldn't build any fleet orders until all retail orders were filled.
There are plenty of people here waiting on barebones builds.

I would be really curious to see the order date for all these MY23 roll over orders when they start coming out. They should be the original MY22 order date.

I think I get it now:
- You don't dispute that the dealer and Ford Customer Service are saying pretty much opposite things,
- But that's not a contradiction to you because you don't think Ford Customer Service is worthy of belief.

My misunderstanding... I thought you were saying that there was no contradiction because the statements weren't actually opposed. (And I wondered why you saw it that way.)

You just have to wait like the rest of us. If your 22 gets bumped to a 23, you will still get a Maverick. Just remember that when the order book reopens in mid-August your current order will be ahead of all those.
Has Ford stated that they will honor price/build if bumped to a 2023? I haven't been able to find anything where they (Ford) state this, but I could easily have missed it. It is what I hope they would do. Also, would we have to place an order again or would the order "rollover" automatically in the new years production que. Again, I would hope they just roll the order over automatically.
Thanks.

Nah, you're good. I could have made it more clear initially.

This is a smart way to do it...which I absolutely hate. This shouldn't even be allowed or legal. It fucks everyone up, it hurts allocations and the small dealerships, and is the reason why my June 10th order hasn't been scheduled yet and was rolled over to a 2023.

Also, I actually wish Ford ONLY took high value NON REFUNDABLE deposits of at least $3000 or more. That way, people would stop making multiple orders and Ford could actually prioritize and know exactly how many trucks they need to make for orders. I never made a deposit so Ford or my dealership has no reason to give a shit about me.

I want them to have a reason.
Autonation Ford did not request a deposit from me.... I have purchase atleast 5 vehicles from the Autonation brand and felt I should have some type of loyalty prioritization. Now Autonation is just in competition for my business my loyalty is being challenged.

For what it’s worth I just took delivery today 3-25 on my 6-17-21 hybrid Luxury & 360:CO pilot order in Austin, TX market. 9 months a very long time and excited to do a long drive near future.

At least that’s what Ford says. They can’t really explain why someone who ordered in Oct. has his Maverick and the guy that ordered the July before him is still waiting for a build date. Fords order and delivery system is not the most dependable or predictable.
Just trying to catch up on this. If my 22 Mav gets moved to 23 will it then be the 23 model. Just wondering about price guarantee etc

Yes. If your 2022 model year truck gets reordered as a 2023 model year truck then it is a 2023 model year truck.

Similarly, if your iPhone 12 gets replaced with an iPhone 13 then it is now an iPhone 13.

Also, if your wife, Karen, gets replaced with Susan, the your wife is now Susan.

And if your Boston Terrier dies and you buy an English Bulldog it is now an English bulldog.

As far as price goes, MY2023/iPhone 13/Sue/Fido may cost more or less than the previous model. Plan on it costing more and most likely you'll be correct. At best you'll be pleasantly suprised.
