Decided to finally tackle the project of swapping out the front speakers and adding sound deadening to the front doors. I took mine time but overall its not a very difficult project, as some may think. This YOUTUBE video was extremely helpful for figuring out how to remove the inner door skin. Overall I used less than 20sqft of deadening material for both front doors. The outcome is noticeable with a little less cabin noise but 0 rattles.

I had my truck rustproofed so I don't think I can do that to my inner door skins.

Good to know! Do the doors also shut with a nice thud instead of a slight metallic sound?
Mine shut with a nice thud, they’re also noticeably heavier. Basically what Carlitos said, it helped cut down on road noise and having zero rattles is worth it alone.

I wish someone would do a dB reading at highway speeds after they do it. I've definitely thought about applying it to the back wall and under the rear but I just don't think it will make that much of a difference.

I don't have plans to mess with the door skins but I applaud those who have!

Just a couple positive comments for those still wondering if the sound dampening stuff is worth it.
I upgraded the speakers in my 23 Mav and decided to apply the dampening material to the door as part of that. Because I don't have hours of time at once I did one door then the next weekend the other front door.
I played with the stereo level and balance multiple ways. The difference in sound inside and outside of the vehicle was very obvious. Doing the sound dampening was well worth it.

I did the floor with this material in another vehicle. Haven't done it in the Mav so far even though I have some extra pieces.
On a normal, regular road the sound dampening on the floor and trunk area (wagon) was noticeable, generally, sort of, not impressive. On bad road or one of those stretches of highway that is really loud for some weird composition reason, the material really made a world of difference.

The stuff is pricey. If you are going to burn some money are a farkle at some point, this is a good one to go for. IMHO

The sound deadening made a noticeable difference to me, even just doing the doors. I only spent about $150 in materials, which I would say is completely worth it.
