Front Fender Decorative Vents

Call me old school but I still like shiny parts on vehicles. I would like to replace the front fender vents on my XLT with chrome covered or chrome plated metal ones. A body shop near me will remove, sand, and paint the original ones with "chrome paint" for $50 each. I would rather have chrome plated. Any word if replacements are or may be available soon?

I just need to be patient. My most urgent desire is to lower my Maverick about 2 inches. That should be happening pretty soon from what I read. Thanks folks!

The vents look unfinished on my XLT. I am thinking about adding a wire mesh across the opening. They need something.

The biddy shop down the street from me will sand them and then paint them a faux chrome for $125. I am not sure how that would look.

I think MrBoom was working on something. They look like they would pop out pretty easy. I think there is some potential.

Thanks for the heads up. I subscribe to Mr Boom's You Tube post, so I will look out for the info. I suppose there is someone that can chrome plate plastic. You see it all the time on various car parts. Take care !
