In reading all the speaker post I've come up with a question. I put new 2 way speakers in my doors and now I wonder if the the tweeter in the door works ? I read somewhere that the signal from the radio was split in the front between the door and the in dash tweeter. I have the B&O system, so does that mean there is nothing going to the in door tweeter ? I guess what I'm asking is both my tweeter's (door and dash) working , is one stronger then thee other ? Help

If all you did was replace the door speakers with factory wiring, than both sets of speakers should be working fine. Your Mavericks speaker wires only see the resistance of the combined coaxial speaker, it has no idea there is a tweeter mounted in there.

Not true.

The factory B&O system amplifies the 6.5 and dash tweeter separately, and has an electronic crossover on both. I don't know the exact crossover range, but it should be around 3khz, give or take a little. In rough terms you should expect the 6.5" to play 60hz - 3khz, and the tweeter plays 3khz and above. (there is a taper above 10khz because most people find that shrill/harsh.)

It sounds like the OP put coaxial speakers in his front doors. If so, the tweeter on that coaxial is not doing much if anything. This is why people replace the mid and tweeter together with a component set, and there is no need to use any passive crossover that comes with the component set because the sync3 unit and B&O amp are taking care of the filtering.

Put some static on am and put your ear up to the speaker, you’ll hear if the tweeter is on or not.

I'm not sure there is any crossover on the output and it just relies on filters on the speakers themselves. I can hook up only one set of channels to the Kicker Key in bi-amp and it results in both high and mid-range.

I'm pretty certain there are not any passive filters on the factory speakers, and there's definitely not any on my replacement components.

I'm positive there is an electronic high pass on the 6.5 doors and tweeters because otherwise I would have blown them long ago. it's around 60-80hz for the doors, and it would be logical to cross the tweeter at somewhere between 2.5 and 4.5khz, that's what they all do.

I believe there is also an electronic low pass on the mid (door 6.5). otherwise you would get shrill high frequency output from it.

Do you remember which ones? I would get the Kickers but I saw online where they're a little too high to fit perfectly.

Powerbass has custom fit for Ford replacement speakers.

Yes but not just tweeters I believe. Already put Kickers in the front doors 🤷‍♂️

Alpine, Infiniti and Kicker make some nice silk dome replacement tweeters for the dash, crutchfield carries them.
