There are several threads

XL vs XLT

XLT vs Lariat.

Some will say I like the XL interior best, it's why I ordered that trim,

Or I don't like color of XLT trim, or I do like it

Don't like color of Lariat interior. or I love it

Don't like this or that as standard equipment.

So if you could order 2023 Maverick and you knew it was going to be no charge when it arrived.

Would you change your current order?

For me it is not about the cost of adding an item I chose not to add but how long will it delay getting mine scheduled. There is no option I want to add that is worth that cost

I did mention it would be "free". So nothing is worth waiting an additional month.

I would have ordered the same exact thing I ordered except in Lariat instead of XLT so I could get the copilot assist. I didn't go that route because I didn't want to pay extra for Leather seats that I'd have to cover up anyways. If it was free I'd gladly pay for seat covers.

I just hate the feel of (even fake) leather seats, so no -- I'd stick with what I'm getting.

I really wish ACC and lane centering was available on the XLT (or cloth seats available on the Lariat), but I'm getting the closest I can to my ideal Maverick.

Ordered an XL Hybrid for costs and preferred looks.

I wouldn't change a thing. Honestly. HPR XLT with a hitch. That's all I need or want. Don't need any of the other attachments, gizmos, features I'll never use. I placed the order I want. Simple (but slamming hot red! 🤪)

I'd absolutely still stick with a lariat lux. No questions there.

Whether I'd switch to an Ecoboost is a slightly tougher decision. Even though I love my hybrid and it's really all I need for my lifestyle, I'd probably spring for the EB with 4k towing. Saving money on gas isn't quite as important when the truck itself is free in this hypothetical

If it was free I would still stick with the XLT Hybrid I ordered because I like the color scheme of the XLT with the orange accents. I would then pay whatever it would cost to have ACC and lane centering installed aftermarket.

I have the same exact order (converted from Oct. 2022 order). Got my confirmation email on the 17th though.

I would get a Lariat Luxury because of the ActiveX seats, sound deadening/acoustic windshield, sound system, heated seats, and heated steering wheel. Is that worth $10.6K more to me? No. More like $3-4K.

Many years ago I bought a used ’92 Dodge Dakota with stick shift, radio, crank window, no air, a pure no thrills truck. I loved that truck! The ā€˜22 Maverick I ordered (and still waiting for) is a lariat, lux, copilot because I like the idea of the safety stuff and I needed the dual heat controls so my wife doesn’t blast me with heat ’til I’m well cooked.

But I’ve actually thought about it and I’d probably be perfectly happy with an XL.
