I Ford chat every Thursday and call every Tuesday with the occasional Facebook Messenger. Ford is clearly still using the allocation system and my dealer isn’t big enough to get any.

Sorry my dealer speaks Klingon or some other Galatic Language and without a universal translater, I can't figure out if he's telling me to hold on and wait, or wait to hold on. My texted questions are answered with a simple "Yes" response. Then Radio silence.
A Babel fish is nearly as good.

Although by effectively removing all barriers to communication between different races and cultures, it has caused more and bloodier wars than anything else in the history of creation.

I’ve had a VIN for at least 6 months but my build date has been pushed back 6 times. Now it is scheduled August 8 and supposed to be delivered by 8/26. That’s one year or more since I ordered it. FE RR Hybrid Lariat.
I’m scheduled for the same build week, but was told by my dealer it would be 4-6 weeks after the vehicle is built before I see it which they said would put me around a late September/early October delivery date

I believe this also. I used a small town dealer and it's been a long wait.

Called a couple of weeks ago. Talked to a rep who I KNEW was giving me wrong information. He told me order bank for Maverick was opening Jul 15. When I challenged his information he all but hung up. I emailed Tim Bartz with what I was told and Tim said "wrong!" I don't trust their information - they always tell me to call my dealer. :(

Here's one for the books. I ordered a 2022 Maverick Lariat Hybrid with luxury package and 360 co-pilot on Oct 27, 2021. Got the confirmation email from Ford and verified it was submitted via appropriate processes. It was assigned a priority 02 by Ford in June which I understand means everything is available to build the truck. Ford then designated the 02 priority with a "p" which supposedly means the truck has been pulled for production. Today I learned the "p" designator was deleted and then truck will NOT be scheduled for production. According to the dealer, the reason was Ford does not want to build vehicles with the 500A package and is opting to build the XL models instead. Is it any wonder that Ford's reputation is in the toilet with crap like this?????
Yet look at the people lining up to get a Maverick. Fords not worried about their reputation. They will just blame all issues on the economy, Covid, chip shortages, worker shortages, transportation issues.

The Ford-assigned 02 priority as I understand is supposed to indicate all parts are available.
That is not true. (I work @ a dealership). 02 just means that it is prioritized for scheduling.

My own Maverick was on 02 for a long time.....with a tonneau cover that wasn't available.

You are wrong about the p too. p means "previewing", which means that it is likely to schedule that week. It is no guarantee. (For example, if someone who is ahead of you in line makes a change and takes up some constrained part that you have on yours, that would make yours not schedule).

My own Maverick was at 02 and p a few times for a few weeks before it actually scheduled.

I ordered mine end of June 2021 and was given priority code 02 at the end of September. It was built June 2022. It can sit at 02 for a long time.

Agree. Despite what Ford said sometime back, dealer allocations are still a factor. My xlt hybrid lux was ordered 7/21, has been priority 2 for months but still no production date. My dealer had under 20 Maverick orders and has delivered only one hybrid. Think they have received the majority of Eco’s. I’ve read about several identical constrained vehicles with much later order dates having already been delivered. The oldest orders first thing was apparently a farce. I know my local dealer is frustrated about their inability to be competitive with the larger dealerships when they can’t get comparable delivery times.

and they wouldn't be lying about those problems that are affecting ALL manufacturers.

I think Ford actually meant they would focus on selecting the "oldest orders" in each dealer's queue that could actually be built. Allocations still come into play even in this scenario, but I'm pretty sure Ford wants to build and sell every single Maverick they can and are not purposely depriving us of getting our trucks if you have a properly submitted order and the parts and transportation factors all align right. I'm next in line at my small town dealer based on "oldest order" and no constraints to prevent scheduling and production.

You're welcome. I know it can be confusing. Allocation and which orders we can expect to schedule isn't very clear to dealerships either. We just have to take educated guesses.

Good luck getting yours scheduled!

I'm assuming that the last 5 numbers of my VIN are the total produced so far, so when mine is done that would

Call Ford Marketing and ask if you have a VIN # and build date.
