I think your dealer is the one lying or misunderstanding what Ford is telling them. You will find a lot more info here than in a show room. I ordered almost identical to you except a week earlier and it is a First Edition. I didn't want to drop anything since it would then not be a First Edition. I was notified Tuesday that I have a VIN and will be produced as a 22.
Spartan:I'm just trying to keep a smile. I have been a reader not a poster since September. We should have a VIN #. If you believe what has been reported. I call Ford monthly to hear the same thing. I believe most 2022 orders are in priority 2 if submitted right.
I am not sure the Ford priority numbers mean to much any more !
It is very late in the game for the 2022 MY Maverick.
I think Ford Mo Co is having some major Launch Issues, again.
The plant is constrained volume wise, by being a shared plant with other Ford units like the Bronco Sport.
The Ford Business Planning and Launch Teams were obviously not prepared for the demand and or the need or want for such niche product. I am sure the Ford's Marketing Team was caught off guard as well. The Quality and Purchasing Teams have been floored as well, with all the issues that have arisen. I am sure Ford is looking at all Things Gone Right and all the Things Gone Wrong with this Model Launch. The real issue is now whether or not Ford is able to recover from all issues mentioned above. Can they do it? If they don't, someone in the industry will one up them, and gain market share from this obvious conundrum by producing a similar product with all needed support required to be a huge success.
I wish The Ford Mo Co all the success in this Global Market in resolving these issues and more as they move from ICE Units to EV & Hybrid Units.
