That's good to know. Thanks for posting the info.

To incrementally improve iffy 12v battery life, I have pulled fuse 11, so I don't use the app. Website works fine though.
Pulled fuse 11? Does this prevent or even slow down the deep sleep battery issues so many people seem to be having that don't drive much?

It is also working again on those of us with older iPhones. :ROFLMAO: Just in time for remote start from the app during winter. (y)

Fuse#11 (passenger floorboard fuse box) is pulled. It only controls the Telematics unit, which contains the phone home to Ford modem. Pulling Fuse#11 does not cause anything else to quit working, nor does it cause any dash warning lights, messages, etc. to come on.

I also use a NOCO battery maintainer periodically, when I won't be driving the truck for a few days.

I have never had any battery issues at all with my 2023 Maverick Hybrid XL.

Anecdotal experience only. YMMV.

Deep sleep does exactly what that fuse does - disables the TCU module.

If that wasn't the module causing parasitic draw - then it's not a solution. It does remove a draw, which could help.

Doesn't improve the charging methodology which seems to be the real brunt of the common issues.

I just noticed that I received update to my Fordpass app. It now has the option for user created maintenance records and Ford chat. I think both of these used to be here but disappeared for a while. I was able to add notes to my last maintenance record that I created from the website.
Thanks. I just added my self service records which had been removed. The Ford dealer service records were always there but they don't have all the info of what service was performed (state inspection, software updates, etc)

Give some thought to replacing Ford's OEM flooded battery with the AGM. I did so a couple weeks ago and have not had any issues that plagued me with the original. Plenty of info here on what, where to buy, and how to install. Here's a thread to start you out.

I'll definitely get an AGM when my battery fails. I can't see wasting money or resources to replace a battery that's still working. I've kept vehicle & mower batteries topped off for years, and would've done the same on the Maverick, even if there were no reported battery issues.

FWIW, some people who've replaced their FLAs with AGMs are also having problems. Hopefully, the fix coming from Ford, 1Q of '25 will solve these battery issues some (but not all) are having!

Mine was updated Dec 4th and I see the Add button in Service Records again! Loosing that ability was my biggest complaint about the app. Glad to see it has returned.

I get you about not wanting to waste money. When the OEM battery started to fail even after putting it on a maintainer, I figured it was time to replace. I got 2 years — 10 months from it so it at least lived up to its 3 year warranty of usefulness even if it only fully worked for 2.

Odd bug. With the Android app I just added an oil change that I did on November 17th. If I used the date selection input for November 17th it shows up as 11/16/24. I had to select November 18th to get it to say the 17th.

There was absolutely no reason for why they pulled that function in the first place. Either extremely poor code writers or they were trying to get owners to use Ford service instead of DIY oil changes.

Now, they've pulled the option to upload receipts to the website version of maintenance records. I tried 3 different browsers and the upload feature was nowhere to be found. 🙄 The same devs. for the site & apps must be writing software for these trucks. LOL

I reported the missing upload feature to Ford cust. service.

At least I still have paper copies of receipts, etc. And I can still log what was done and when, on the site.

You're right. Just changed my oil and no option to upload reciepts. I just noted what oil I used and filter brand and total cost. I am not keeping every receipt for every purchase I make for this truck.
