% Ford Pass App doesn’t work

I’m curious the percentage that ford users ford pass app doesn’t work.

Im at about 30% chance my ford pass app “lock, unlock, or remote start” don’t work.

Everything is good with the truck, doors closed/locked, not in sleep mode, phone has connection, app is up to date but the shit app just doesn’t work. I slide the remote start over and it just spins in circles and never starts the car. 15 minutes later it decides to work but I do nothing to change my vehicle, so the app just decides to work whenever it wants to.

with this being said I’m curious how many other people barely get to use ford pass on their new $30,000+ vehicle.

My app on the iPhone works great. Lock, unlock and start all work and pretty much that’s all I use it for. Well, service appointments too.

The app uses AT&T cell service. Where I live I can sometimes get 1 bar of service so the app works about as well as yours does. I was getting a lot of deep sleep (battery saver) notices sometimes 2 or 3 times a week (and that's with putting it on a charger) and I think it was because the truck was always searching for a cell signal and it was draining the battery. I pulled the fuse about 6 months ago and I haven't had a deep sleep issue since. We have the same problems with our cell phones, we have to put them in airplane mode when we get home and just use wireless calling otherwise it also drains their batteries.

Most likely it's the truck having weak cell data service. If it was the app this forum would be full of complaints.

Sold my truck and fordpass still sends messages to email about low oil . hope new owners didn't forget to put oil back in after oil change . closed ford pass app after truck sold .

Mine often shows that the truck is 'Running' and even though I know it isn't , I have to check to be sure. If someone parks in their garage and the app says the truck is running, they of course will need to check each and every time since if it was it could kill them. This needs to be fixed immediately!

Well, to be fair - it's impossible to get a deep sleep notice since you killed the modem.
Modem is required for 1 last notice about deep sleep being enabled.
You can still be reaching voltages where it would have done it, you just can't be informed.

Which is what deep sleep is a notice about - the truck itself killing the modem.

25MY drivers started out with issues with communications and it appears their Fordpass accounts on Ford servers. There were problems for many for months.

Wouldn't surprise me there is still something glitching often, as something appears to have been done differently - likely because of the ability for module software updates to be possible.

I have had no issues. I remote start regularly and have used all functions. Even after the update

No issues, even after the update. 25 Lariat.
