Ford dropping AM radio from SYNC

I like that idea! Now I would have a great reason to tell the wife to ride in the back with the kids.
Ford could call it the happy hubby option and it could be free, oh' wait nothing is free with Ford.

We made many trips that way, the wife in the center middle-row bench seat, between the 2 kids, with a 12V TV/VCR combo strapped down to the armrest between the front seats,,,,

Absurd. All I listen to is AM radio (KOGO). FM is trash as far as I'm concerned.

In all seriousness, give me a radio delete option now, I don't even want it. I ordered an XL Hybrid, the standard sound system already got terrible reviews, plus no CD, now no AM. Just give me a radio delete option! I'll have my own AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth installed later.

I had no idea people were upset about not having a cd player in their cars. With streaming you can listen to whatever, whenever. The tech isn’t even difficult-you can literally use your voice to tell your phone what to play and boom it’s on your speakers.
I also didn’t even know AM radio was a thing. I knew it was on radios but all I’ve ever heard from it is static or televangelists.

I once had a pirate radio station but it was on FM a surplus military transmitter. Never could get the antenna matched quite right. Range about 10 miles.

I haven't listened to terrestrial radio since I got Sirius Satellite Radio in 2005.

I haven't listened to XM/Sirius in about 15 years. I use Pandora now. Satellite radio kills the sound quality too much, and with Pandora I only hear songs I want to hear.
