I dont know how long this will stick. I think it's due to the shortage. But the jeep truck has done well. Can't see ford eventually following suit.

The boys over at that site really say what they think. Well, this way Ford can focus on us! Now lets get to building our TRUCKS!

I saw the mock ups for a Bronco Truck and it lost of lot of the unique look of the bronco when they did it. I was excited about the Jeep Gladiator initially but when I saw them in person it didn't look as good. I would love to have that 2 door Bronco but it wouldn't do much good for a family of 4 that camps. Need the Maverick.

Not surprised they dropped the idea. Especially when they already have so many trucks.

If I was buying a Diesel, I would go with a Gladiator. I think the Maverick makes more sense as the hybrid. Not certain which niche a Bronco truck was meant to fill.

Close to the same niche as a fx4 ranger or raptor I suspect, hence the cancelling. Probably not enough difference to warrant trying to create a whole new variant that would mostly just compete with their existing options.

The Jeep truck. I drove a new one and at 90 kmph it wanders badly, They have an issue wandering but otherwise cool Jeep but the Maverick has more rm inside. Lol

ram/Jeep didn't have a truck slotted under the Ram 1500 Full Size. By trading on the Jeep name they are able to charge premium prices for it and not be in any hurry to build a Ranger or Maverick size vehicle. Ford has Compact, Midsize and full size established products- plus a new Ranger that can compete with Gladiator- especially in Raptor version.

After all the delays and likely bumping to next model year, I started investigating other options. One that sparked joy was the CJ8 Scrambler. That is a good looking Jeep truck.

I personally didn't like the looks of it. So IMHO nothing has been lost. It's a win win for the Maverick.
