Wrong, look at your intelligent all wheel drive screen it is on every time you take off from a stop
Never seen that screen. Always off unless slip is detected is what I read on the system. Maybe that is wrong.

To help prevent slip.
My Independent wheel power gage shows when the front wheels are doing 60% the back is at 0% UNTIL !
I go for more power and I take my front wheels to 80-90% power while I watch the back wheel move up to 30% power on the gage. The AWD system activated before I could break traction. I love the feel of the steady power.

Maybe the EB & hybrid operate differently? For sure, the EB AWD's do always start off from a stop with rear assist, perhaps the hybrids don't. Maybe the hybrids don't even have the AWD distribution screen in the meter? Wouldn't surprise me at all if they are different in this regard.
