Have you or anyone else driven in thick fog in the dead of nights with the brights on? If you did you'd understand why Ford didn't make fog lights an option.
Driving with your brights on in fog has never been recommended. Best to use low beam and fog lights are designed for low beam illumination.

For halogen lights yes. LED lights are directionally focused and don't produce light scattering like halogen bulbs. Simply put they penetrate through fog better than halogen bulbs and even more betterer with the high beams on.

Don't take my word for it, try it yourself when you get the right weather conditions. I am not saying fog lights won't improve visibility here just that the stock headlights are good enough that they aren't that important to have in the first place.

From my own experience I agree that with the advances in LED technology, the headlights on newer vehicles are a vast improvement in road illumination, especially on the perimeters and yes, the need for fogs is diminished. However, I have also seen the difference with and without fogs in inclement weather and I like having the immediate front area of my vehicle illuminated especially when there is the chance of road debris.

They do face forward from the images, as you can see them canted in the housing. If they aren't then I'd 100% agree, and say that it'd be dumb to even produce.
yeah there’s other pictures where you can more clearly see how they are built and positioned to direct the beam. Pretty sure Rally Innovations knows how to build a fog light kit as well 😃

Next time you start your Maverick pay close attention to the display over the steering wheel. You'll see a short video graphic of the Maverick. I swear that Maverick has fog lamps. Not sure if this is the case with other than the Lariat trim.

While the led headlights do a fine job of lighting up the road, I'm considering auxiliary lights to brighten up the road more directly in front. Sure, fogs, but more so for spotting road hazards close up. Anyway, I'm thinking of fitting them into lower section of the front grille. Limited space unless you cut one one of the support struts and I'm not too keen on that. Need a light that is under 5 inches wide and about 2" tall to fit. I've searched Amazon, but perhaps someone here has some experience and suggestions.
