The company that I had Ceramic Coat my Crosstrek last year told me it had a 2 year warranty but if I kept it clean and it was stored in my garage instead of outside the coating would last well over the warranty. Had it IGL coated
Thank you.

People say 2 years max. I mean is less than $100 and has a very good reputation. I'm hoping it's worth the money:)
Thank you. I put this product in my Amazon "wish list". Please keep us informed.

My Maverick is supposed to be built 9/23. I have looked into a couple of places that ceramic coat and one near me wants $1200, it comes with a four year warranty and you cannot drive it through a car wash, you must hand wash it.

Looks great!!

Question to all pros: My Maverick has around 11k miles and still in nearly perfect condition ( I think I have only 1 or 2 small paint chips). Is it still worth it to have ceramic coating done professionally? Mine is in Alto Blue.
If you do it yourself it would be worth it. I did mine first week I had the car but iron particles still stick to the cars paint. I had to use more iron removal the second time but lot less work on the clay bar. Another coat of spray on ceramic coating was used 2 months later.

After a week or two of looking at a used iconic silver FX4 on the lot and think I'd change my choices on colors, as it just didn't "pop" as I thought it would in the daylight, you made me start thinking about it as a choice again.
I have a 69Z/28. It was cortez silver, I wanted to get it repainted in about 74. The body shop guy talked me out of it said it has no depth and always looks gray. Ihad it painted a rich deep bugandy. Looked great! But in 2012 had some work done and took it back to silver. Very happy I did.

There is no need to rub on/ rub off wax anymore. After using a clay bar/clay rag/clay pad for cleaning, just spray and wipe 303 Touchless on the body and windows. A 2 inch strip of regular masking tape will not stick to your vehicle if you have a few coats applied.
Sorry but compare the depth of shine of the vehicles that have been waxed or ceramic coated against the 303. I have and the shine doesn't compare. No depth

Only problem with 303 is it last about 5 days and then shine be gone

I was a bit unclear. I agree, and the depth of shine with ceramics is visible in before/after pictures. I disagree with folks promoting carnauba, a substance that is yellow, not clear, and a pain to use. 303 is far more economical and "close enough" in shine for me. (Great on guitars, too)

True. The Touchless product is thin, like water. So multiple layers of it is better. But it is great for the majority of us lazy people because it is so easy to use, like a detailer. Squirt and wipe.

After one week of ownership
Process was:
Foam then rinse
2 bucket wash
Car Pro Iron X to decontaminate
Rinse Again
Dry
Lightly Clay, didn't need much
Very very diluted IPA wipe down
Car Pro CQUARTZ 3.0 ceramic coat (2ish coats)
Car Pro Reload top coat the next day

All in all, maybe $200 of products (with lots of leftovers) and 2 days of chill work. I'm happy. First wash was a revelation, water just beads right off. So easy to wash now.

raw or natural carnauba is not yellow at all but more a light tan color or light amber if necessary to describe. The yellow and creme wax has additives to make it easier to buff. I actually use a fairly raw wax, about 80% Carnauba and 15% beeswax which makes it easier to apply, but it is difficult to remove if you wait too long and it will haze over in under 2 minutes. But I have used it on all of my cars, even a couple of white cars, and I have never noted a color change, especially toward yellow. It does discolor with age so I will strip all of the wax off and start over every spring. The Maguiars I have use is after I have at least two coats of Carnauba do Brazil on it, which is the wax that has beeswax mixed in it and I use it for my autos, my hardwood as well as to protect exterior glass.

I know I’m late to the thread, but is the picture of the wheels, the OME? If so, I appreciate the pictures! My XLT in Iconic Silver is scheduled to be built this month! Based on your pictures, I’m happy with my color choice!
