Cold weather will bring increasing battery issues. That’s my experience with my 23 Hybrid. It’s got to be run on open roads to charge the 12 volt.
Actually, it doesn't.

All it needs is substantial time with the key to "run". What is "substantial" will vary with the seasons though.

The Hybrid does not have AGM batteries!
Correct!
And context matters.

Since you must have failed to read the quote right above my response - here it is:

Anyone with a newer eco boost experience this battery saver mode? Mine is only 6 months old and just started since it got colder.
Since you should have the AGM battery - you may just have a bad battery, unrelated to the hybrid issues.

Oh, neat. I just picked up my truck from the 5 or 6 recalls that have been stacking up over the last couple of years. I had some clicking out of the wheel area when turning, they fixed that (Is that the CV problem I keep seeing mentioned?) and they also replaced my 12V after telling them about the Battery Saver stuff every time I exit. Warranty ends next June... dunno whether to hope they get this fixed via software while my new battery is still OK, or that the battery completely drains before the warranty is up!

Can we just turn off the telemetry to save the battery?
I pulled the fuse that runs it and then did a battery reset. Seems to have helped. I am not connected the Ford pass app but I can tell when it is low because no interior lights until I start it. Used to be like that after sitting a few days but now it can sit a week or two and still have interior lights.

Ohh this is going to be fun Monday.

I have been fighting with the dealer over declined warranty work on several items. Ford's post service survey is what got me attention and the ability to get it back and fixed.

I go back Monday and they have promised to fix everything and are giving me a loaner, however I already replaced the Battery with an AGM so they cannot correct this.

FYI "under glow", I have 3 LED strips. On on the hood others have done here above the grill, then 1 on each side of the vehicle. The running lights have a fuse tapped that is is off via the ignition, the turn signals are connected to the turn signals with a hardness, and the courtesy / puddle are run from the back and tied into the bed lighting.

The ONLY lights that will stay on with the truck off, are tied to the bed light and in bed LED, and is managed by the truck, so I can't just forget and leave them on and kill the battery.

Every issue I was declined on was like the technician looked for the fastest way to deny warranty on each item.

This is for sure getting brought up on Monday.

I installed and hard-wired a dash cam along with trailer lights wiring. Think they would give the same excuse for denying the warranty?

I must have missed that HayBales or misread it.

There have been many other posts where some think the Hybrid has an AGM.

My 2022 Hybrid is on it's 5th battery after I bring it in again since the recent Deep Sleep Mode started again. I only have 1,5000 miles on mine

If you get a shitty tech, probably yes.

They denied my headliner initially stating " a 3rd party tamped with the headliner and removed to install the dash cam"

This was after I provided the TSB, that showed the EXACT issue.

My best advice, take it in, if they say no be nice, then roast of the Ford survey. That gets attention.

For me at least, now I have established at THIS dealer I have a dash cam and the lights hired, and that did not prevent warranty work.

There have been claims that the system was setup expecting an AGM on the hybrids, others have said theirs was not setup that way.
You probably saw plenty of those posts.

And I've seen comments from those that changed the setting to AGM when they got one - and it made no difference to the charging levels. AGM just lasts longer anyway, but some have gotten to same place of low levels eventually.

This seems to be a difference with model years, and probably what software updates have been taken.
Just like the other settings that are available for battery for CCA, or battery size, or type - they have probably been left as settings but not called on for a value nor storing a value there - so unused.

Even the max charge level 65, 80, or 95% I'm wondering about.
Be nice to see someone that changed it to 95% actually report what their multimeter shows some morning after a rest and accurate voltage, or scanner reported SOC% before turning key to On.

Hello, I’m doing same as you. Got my 2022 hybrid month before you. I ordered a 2025. Are you trading yours in or selling out right? Not sure which to do?
Thanks
We are either trading in or selling our 23 hybrid inorder to get a 25 all wheel drive hybrid. Roads around here require all wheel or 4 wheel in the winter. Selling or trading will depend upon the dealers offer which they won't provide untill the 25 is built

I have a 2022 Hybrid XL. I'm now on my third 12v battery in two and a half years, replaced under warranty.
It's nice to hear that there eventually might be an official fix.

I counted TWELVE!!! lights that come on every time I open a door. They stay lit even after the door is closed. Many of these lights are halogen.
I use my MAV hybrid as a work truck, which means I open the doors to access tools many times a day. (as I did in other vehicles for decades with no issues)

Is there a way to make these lights not come on with door opens?
I'm looking into replacing the halogens with LEDs either way.

That was in response to @Meeka who has an EcoBoost which do have AGM aside from some early builds.
Yes I now realize that after HayBales pointed that out. I missed the fact they were talking about an EcoBoost.

My 2nd battery started to Deep Sleep at 6 months old, same as the first battery. I bought an AGM battery off Amazon for $150 delivered, reset the BMS, fingers crossed 🤞
You should be fine now. You may get an occassional sleep message, but the BIG difference is you will be able to drive around the block and the battery will be charged up. Flooded batteries were taking longer to charge up AND the cells would sulfate, thus shortening the life of your battery. AGM batteries don't sulfate.

I have wondered about this too.

I just dropped my mav off for service for the first time to get recalls, oil change done. The last two days I received a message in the app that the truck was going into deep sleep mode. granted, the truck was parked outside (normally in the garage) and it's been cooler. I mentioned and the dealer said they'd check it out.

It's not so much that those lights come on when you open door but the time they stay on when you shut the door (they actually may not come on if this is for as I have not checked?). Go into settings, lighting and select automatic light delay = "OFF". The lights, dash, screen, seems like the battery cooling pump or something may also early off. If you do not want delay set to off you can double lock using door handle ridges, keypad lock, or key fob double lock also to early off courtesy lights!
