I had a bunch of F-150's in a Row like 7 IIRC switched to a BS BB but missed having a Truck Bed so i got the Maverick. Plus the BS had some issues and a Bunch of Recalls.

Former F150 5.0 owner. I am really happy now with the Maverick Hybrid. So much so, that I'm on my second one. While a few options are no longer available as stand alone options as in the past, the 2025's come so much better equipped. Vastly improved over the earlier years too.

The upgrades from 24 to 25 are HUGE. The 2025's have better equipment throughout, ride better, better seat bolsters for comfort, and in the case of the hybrid, more power while getting better MPG. My 25 Hybrid AWD 4K TOW Maverick gets better MPG than my 23 FWD 2k tow did.

Sync 4 is now standard, which includes voice control. Backup camera is much clearer, easily the best I've used. Probably at least 50 improvements for 2025 overall.

I didn’t need or want a full size truck. My last F-150 was a 2013
Great work truck, V-6, Very Powerful, 20 mpg average half interstate, half city.
All city it would do 18 mpg and all highway it would do 21 mpg, but I had to drive it right,
75 mph tops.
My average in bed cargo load was around 800 pounds, always a low CG and centered just ahead of the rear axle.

Hello everyone I new here and I have a question.Currently I own a 22 f150 hybrid(great truck) as I don’t tow anymore and only need a truck for commuting around and occasionally minor Home Depot runs, I was thinking I have to much truck,so I ordered a maverick a lobo to be exact(love the looks) has anyone downsized from a full size if so any regrets?I would Love all your thoughts
thank you..hope you all have a great day
This is my story, my husband had an F-150 and I LOVED it, sadly he died and I am short so traded it in, but LOVE my Maverick in comparison for me, it handles so much better, can make U-turns and pretty much handles like my Miata on the highway. So great choice for me but all I do is take my dog to Ohio on vacation, so depends on what you use it for. Good Luck!

My only loss from my F 150 is the armrest. The armrest in the Maverick is useless. I have been riding for over 600 miles with my elbow on the top of the door (next to the window) and I have a bone bruise on the inside of my elbow. That hard plastic is not a good armrest. Other than that I love it!

I came from an F150 and don't have many regrets. Love the mileage and its a great truck for me to commute and run errands. I don't love the seats and I do miss the interior space of the F150. The fit and finishes are much nicer in the F150 as well. I bought the Lariat trim Maverick and it still feels very cheap and like things were intentionally left out that should be standard these days.
The problem with what is standard these days costs 70K. I'm sure you didn't pay that for your Maverick.

I went from V6 Frontier to Maverick Lariat hybrid for sticker price and mpg. Got the bed extender which I haven’t even used. Put the power seat up height wise. Zero regrets. Like you, I don’t tow any more. Love the mileage and many tech upgrades.

We have both a Maverick and an F150. I drive the bigger one and I love it. We don't tow anything and really don't haul much of anything anymore either. It's a 2014.

The Maverick is a 2023 and is the one we use when we run errands and such. It's sooo much easier to park than Brutus is, and easier to load and unload the bed. It doesn't hold as much grocery wise though.

If we were to get rid of Brutus, I'd probably get another Maverick. Eruption Green is gorgeous!

I’ve driven F-150s for decades and fortunately enjoyed many years of trouble free driving - this is my first Maverick and today is the first time I used it haul anything in the bed and with some PVC pipe sticking out the back I was a little concerned but had no issue - l love the many tie down options and the second position on the tailgate - this little truck is all I need

Load length is not a substantial difference between F150 and Maverick. The typical bed length on a F150 crew cab is 66", just marginally longer than Maverick at 56". Loads over 1500# or towing over 4K is where the F150 shines.

I moved from a Chevy 2500HD extended cab with an 8' bed to the Maverick and couldn't be happier. I want from 13Mpg with a strong tail wind to an effortless 43Mpg.

The Chevy was overkill for my needs, but I got it with 27k miles for $12,500 and ran it up to 290k miles before putting her out to pasture. Kinda hoping they put me out to pasture before the Maverick!

I traded in my 2020 F150 XLT 5.0L for a 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid with 4K tow. Best upgrade I have ever done & would do it again. FYI - for the past 3,600 miles averaging 41.7 MPG. Best ever was 68 MPG on a 10 mile city trip.

It looks like I am the only one going in the opposite direction. I sold my 2023 Maverick XLT EB AWD and am considering a full-size (older) pickup truck.
  • The rear seat area of the Maverick is too small and unnecessary for me. I was the sole person in the Maverick 90% of the time, and my wife was in the Maverick the other 10%. Nobody sat in the back seat of my Maverick.
  • The bed is too small for my use. I would have preferred a super cab with a longer bed.
  • I had the 4K tow package. However, it wasn't enough for about half of my towing needs.
A regular cab or Supercab F-150 or F-250 XL would better suit my needs than the Maverick. Don't get me wrong; I loved my Maverick. It just didn't fit my needs as well as a full-size will.

I think it’s more corporate greed and pleasing share holders. You can’t tell me that adding a memory button to the driver seat and an auto dimming homelink mirror (both 20 year old technology) would make a notable difference in the cost of the vehicle.

I agree on corporate greed for being a massive part of auto pricing today by all manufacturers. When I see a V6 engine costing six to ten thousand more than a four cylinder in some cases, I want to question ' was I not getting an engine before I switched to the six?' It's truly absurd.
