Honestly for me this was the biggest reason not to go Lariat, price was too close. Might have the Mav paid off and I can get a base model, then I won’t have to worry about range anxiety with the little bro truck showing up the big dog

Ford announced (just this morning) a significant boost to lightning production. It won't be close to 3 years. But it won't be quick, either.
So that's why my Ford stock jumped 11% today.

supposedly the epa required ford to have the range rated with 1000 pound payload in the truck. The info coming out said the base battery should have significantly more range than 230 when not loaded down.

May just go for a Mav XL and see if I can build ACC into it. I was thinking Mav until my Lightning showed but now think Ford plans to fill all res conversions this year. I will have to talk to the boss and get her opinion. Save $20k on a Maverick or get the Lightning Pro with Max Tow and 9.6kw.

Not clear to me what that max tow package includes. Not sure of it's worth the extra grand to get 9.6kw instead of 2.4kw pro power. Tech package has me interested for the 360 camera.

Right?! I took a little off the table today. Still a great stock with an incredible outlook, but ya gotta take some profits or the "win" is only on paper! I'm really curious what's gonna happen with the Ford stake in Rivian. That 12% is worth some big $$$.

Pretty cool - that gets expensive quickly though!

I priced out the lowest options to get heated seats and the tow package - $65K. I think I'll stick with my lowly XLT Maverick for the time being...
Mav XLT Lux is a heck of a lot of truck for the money. I kinda splurged on my order and it's still around $30K.
As for the Lightning, the road to heated seats is downright ridiculous. $13K to step up to XLT and another $10K for the package. I don't think I can bring myself to spend the cost of an entire car on trim and options.

I've got no interest in this thing as it stands. Price and range are not doing it any favors.

Wait until folks find out how slowly they charge and how far out of their way they'll have to go to get to a "fast" charger in many parts of America.

Yes steering us all to a 65k+ all electric vehicle is just the beginning of the end for an affordable vehicle. I agree just give me my poor man's Maverick Hybrid truck

The end of affordable cars is already here. Most recent data show that the average price of a new car is now over $46K. Average used car is nearly $30K.
