I came from an F150 and don't have many regrets. Love the mileage and its a great truck for me to commute and run errands. I don't love the seats and I do miss the interior space of the F150. The fit and finishes are much nicer in the F150 as well. I bought the Lariat trim Maverick and it still feels very cheap and like things were intentionally left out that should be standard these days.

Thank you for your reply,I had the lariat f150 as well and the ride fit and finish were excellent even rode great when pulling a 6000 lb trailer…but hated parking it at the mall or in the city..again thank you

I see no difference in build quality between Maverick and f150 but certainly doesn’t have as many features however you pay much more for an f150.

just remember that the current F150 was built to a $30k price point and spending any more on it is really a waste and putting lipstick on a pig.

I had the supercrew cab F150 for 8 years loved it but kids grew up, finished remodeling my home, don't go camping as much and it was just sitting. Sold it and got the maverick fx4 so far like it just as much as the f150 and it fits in garage

I miss the smoothness of my F150 Lariat. It was a superb highway cruiser on long trips to Florida. It also had tons of space in the bed (although it was a long way up when loading).
But I moved from the farm back to the city and it was too big to fit into my driveway. Since I had three Rangers, I went with the Hybrid Lariat Maverick and apart from the much smaller bed (even when compared to the Rangers).
I also miss the tech from the F150 - the Maverick Lariat has some, but it isn't as well equipped. I don't need 4A and all the towing stuff, but it was nice to have. I could buy another F150, but I'm not going to bother as no one else in the house will drive it so it will sit around doing nothing.

I’ve driven F-150s for decades and fortunately enjoyed many years of trouble free driving - this is my first Maverick and today is the first time I used it haul anything in the bed and with some PVC pipe sticking out the back I was a little concerned but had no issue - l love the many tie down options and the second position on the tailgate - this little truck is all I need

Looks like you got the 2025 version where Ford did leave out some of the features the earlier models had. You do have the 360 view which is ultra-cool, so there's that.

I like my Maverick, but would never consider it a replacement for a full-size pickup.

Something that blew my mind today. You can get a used F150 Lightning, low mileage, two years old, for less than it would cost to replace my XLT AWD ECO. My Maverick was $30,500 OTD when I bought it. Today it's $36,500.

I had a 2020 F-150 Lariat and loved it. Same as you though, I was basically using it as a commuter. I got a 2025 Lariat hybrid Mav.

I miss the memory seats, the space in the super crew, the finish, the general ride. But, I save about $400/month in fuel and that’s satisfying in itself. The truck bed is smaller but hasn’t been an issue yet. It’s also nice to be able to get in and out of parking spots easily.

I down sized from a Silverado, had a 2014 F-150 before it and liked the F-150 much better. But I considered this. I'm retired and don;t need to haul tooling and computers anymore. Family rarely visits here if they do they have a vehicle for them and the grandkid to fit so they can drive. It's mostly me and my lady and occasionally 1 passenger for local runs. I can load and unload reaching over the side. At at 66 I don;t want to unload a full size truck load anyways so this works great. Ride? Like her Explorer. Comfort? Better than the Silverado equal to the F-150. Road noise? Lariat so minimal compared to the other 2. I had a 92 Ranger for 12 years then "sold" it to one of my grown kids. I loved the Ranger bu loving the Maverick more.
I don't know if you seen my Post about hauling 30 1.5 Cubic feet Mulch Bags in the Maverick. And unloading it was Nice being lower than an F-150. I just slid the Mulch bags a little past the Tail Gate put the Wheelbarrow close cut the bag and dumped it in Easy Peasy much easier than with the Higher F-150.
