The 21-23 F-150 shifter works on our trucks. It requires some trimming of the console but the plug is the same and it drives like normal. Haven’t hooked up the paddle shifters but I assume the shifter buttons will work once wired. This is temporary until I make a better mount but it fits and works. I’m going to make a panel for the brake and drive modes in front of the center console.

I don’t care what people say. I post stuff for the good of the group. Look at the Recaros, now everyone is doing it.

For what it’s worth my Maverick is a Ford Frankenstein lol.

Corsair motor
Ranger turbo
F150 shifter
Explorer ST cluster
Focus RS brakes
Focus ST seats and steering wheel

What’s next?
your truck reminds me of my rc car builds. doesnt matter if its not made for it. if it fits it fits.

...I always liked the F-150 shifter...
I l always liked my F-150 shifter, too. It was on the column!

OP's capability to do these mods is great and to be admired. However, I really like the console Rotary Shifter + drive mode display in the instrument cluster. I never have to look down at the console.

I don't know how cross-compatible Ford steering columns are these days but if that means the F-series GSMs "talk" the same then theoretically might could swap one of those with column shifter in.

Ah, the mid-90's to early-2000's when Ford's all had the same steering column
except for those stupid cast aluminum shift tubes and their clamps breaking
I know the new 250s and up have the column shift; I would love that in my Mav

I’d love to have the shifter be on the column, I think that would have been the ideal solution to trying to “open up” the cabin space as well as giving it a cool touch
That is exactly when I will pay attention to a 'moving the shifter thread'.

Because rotary dial shifting is silly.
I wouldn't say that.... but I will say that I recently rented a Chrysler Van for a work trip that had a rotary shifter... that I liked. It wasn't a "spin to win" feel. It was positively indented as you changed gears... and it was limited to the gears available. The Maverick feels more like a roulette wheel. Would be much better if it was limited to the "D" as a stop when shifting to drive.
My biggest complaint is that I fairly regularly overshoot reverse and get park instead.
This mod has my interest!

Surprised no one has mentioned this also gives your right hand a resting place. Of course I always have my hands a 10:00 and 2:00. ;)

I drove my wife's 2015 Honda CRV the other day and when I was backing into the driveway I went to twist the shifter, lol :) I just had to laugh!
So when is the 2015 crv getting A KNOB?

Excellent! Well done.
But now you've done it: There's gonna be a run on F-150 shifter assemblies.
Lots of folks would rather have that than the rotary shifter knob thingy.

That's the one nice thing about the Maverick, low initial price leaving more money for mods.

As for the shifter, I'm happy with the dial. Been driving long enough to accept and get used to most different styles. 4 spd manual on the column, automatic on column dash or console or floor. Touch pad, or push button. The worst was an old Dodge fire truck, manual. 5 spd manual with a 4 spd secondary transmission, 5 x 4, two different floor shifters, NO sync, double clutch and steer with your elbow.
Ford could have even recycled parts from the 60s Edsel, push button in the steering wheel.
