Is it just me, or does the Maverick seem to have a good bit of road noise on some road surfaces? I have the Lariat trim with the Pirelli Scorpion tires. One some road surfaces, like newly paved ones, it is nice and quiet. But on others, it's so noisy it is almost painful. Just got back home from a 4 hour interstate drive, and my ears are ringing.

Any solutions to this? Dynamat? New tires? Earplugs?
I have the 2022 Maverick XL 2.0. I tested db levels at idle. It stayed pretty constant at 42 db. Driving around town the sound went up to 52db, and highway speeds measured 62 - 70 depending on road surface. I keep my tire pressure at recommended levels.

I experienced the same in my 23 Tremor with stock offroad tires. On new asphalt, near silence, but on old cement or bad roads, the noise level became uncomfortable.

Mine is very quiet. Michelin tires. No engine noise, no road noise.
My Tremor is very quiet with the Falken Tires...

The road surfaces vary and thats the main reason for the racket. Certain tire treads on some road surfaces simply make a lot of noise. SoCal has really crappy roads, especially LA.

It’s not bad on my XLT with pirelli scorpions but often times it is actually the road itself

Checked that tire pressures are at factory spec?
I have a 22 Lariat with Michelin tires. I noticed more road noise after I had an oil change and the inflated my tires to 37. Otherwise mine is pretty darn quiet. Are the Pirellis standard on the 23 Lariat Lux I have ordered?

I was thinking the same. I actuality think my truck is pretty quiet, but the 245/70/17 Firestone Destination AT2s definitely start singing a bit at highway speeds. That's about all the noise I notice and is to be expected.
Ditto! Although, was pretty loud with the Scorpions also so…
Yea even stock it's got some noise. TBH, I never noticed any wind noise on any other vehicle when adding window deflectors but I did immediately on the Maverick. I also have (in the process of selling) a Tacoma with a 3" lift on 285/70R17 E rated AT3W's and they are not as noisy as the 245/65R17's in the Maverick. The Escape Hybrid I had was kinda noisy too but still not as bad as the Maverick (stock or on AT's). I also had a Subaru Crosstrek that was pretty bad, especially in windy conditions. The roof would wobble like you were in a tin can being kicked around. What I've learned is on vehicles like these, they couldn't care less about isolating road noise.

I have the stock rims and tires. No issues here.

Turn down the volume on your hearing aid. Mine is quiet.

I did it, used a cheaper version of Dynamat from Amazon (Siless 80 mil). It helps a lot. I used to hear and even feel the harshness of the suspension/tires in the floor pan. Not any more. There is still noise but it's much better. Well worth the $50 of stuff.

I'm not sure what other vehicles the OP has to compare to, but I find this to be an issue with almost every vehicle I've owned (with certain roads). Maybe it is somewhat worse on the Maverick, but it doesn't bother me. The tire noise may be louder, but the drivetrain/engine noise is much lower. A tradeoff maybe?

Lariat Ecoboost FX4 4K with the 235/65/17 Wildpeaks here. I'm surprised at how quiet it is. There will always be some roads that are rough and noisy. Only way to fix that is with a hovercraft ;)

I have a 2.0 Lariat with Michelin tires and have very little road noise or windshield noise. Brand and quality of tires can be a major factor of road noise.

not rocket science, but a tough job. All the trim around the outside, console, seats. The hardest thing was the hood release handle. There is a tread here that shows how to do it. Also, the console is six screws all around the outside (two under the dash in the front of it) and one plug under the passenger side cover thing toward the front on the side on the console.
edit: any problems/questions let me know.
