  1. Taking it easy

I’m about 3800 mi. 24mpg is my norm when I called the dealer, they stressed the break-in period is 5-6000 mi. I’m patently waiting for the improved gas mileage.
  2. Roof top tent camping (RTT)?

This is my set-up using a cot tent. it all fits under the trifold bed cover to maintain mileage. This is my 2022 Ecoboost. I now use my 2025 Ecoboost.

  4. Backseat comfort for adults

My wife is 5'6" she had to move her seat up to allow my son-in-law (6'1") a relatively decent ride. I had my seat about half way and my daughter 5'6" said her ride was comfortable. My wife did feel cramped.

  10. Ford Factor Tri Fold Tonneau Cover watertight?

My Ford Cover keeps the bed mostly dry. A trip through the car wash barely leaves water in the bed. If the drain holes are clogged by saw dust or dirt I might get some pooling but nothing significant. Overall, I’m very pleased with the purchase. I do keep items I want to keep dry in bins to...
  11. Gas MPG stays from 31.4 to 31.6

Wonderful - I just drove up to Taos, NM from Albuquerque and back. I was 34 mpg through winding mountain roads and upper highway speeds. I do have a bed cover. :)
  12. Poor MPG - when is it time to visit the dealer?

I just returned from a 2200 mile road trip from Albuquerque, NM to California. Starting mileage was 16,000. Driving on relatively flat roads at 65 mph netted me about 35 mpg. Driving between 65-75 mph dropped mileage to 30mpg. And when I drove faster then 80 mph, I averaged 26-28 mpg. The air...
  13. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

I experienced the same phenomena with my 2022 2.0 EB XL. My 2.0 EB was scary fast when I first purchased the vehicle. I used lower octane fuel to balance out the acceleration (I know, that wasn't real bright). The acceleration wasn't effected as much as in-town driving. The transmission didn't...
  14. Maverick XL AWD problems?

I have a 2022 XL EB; no tow package. I love my little truck. I am getting 27mpg in the city. The last road trip I took I was at 34mpg. The power in that little truck is phenomenal. The speed takes some getting used to, but now I love those short on-ramps to the freeway. I am at 70mph in a...
  15. Cold Feet? (not about buying, my feet are cold)

My 2022 Ecoboost XL does the same thing. The temp sensor must be in the dash and not near the floor. I solved the problem by turning the temperature to ”Max” heat. Then I use the fan speed to regulate the temp in the cab. My feet stay cozy.
  16. MAX A/C and Recirculate question

I am driving a 2022 XL Ecoboost. Commander Bob said well. At any fan speed and temperature setting, the recirculate button will facilitate faster cooling. I use the button to keep out smells, pollen, pollution, etc. The Max AC button opens the system all the way. I can't leave it on too long or...
  17. Excessive road noise???

I have the 2022 Maverick XL 2.0. I tested db levels at idle. It stayed pretty constant at 42 db. Driving around town the sound went up to 52db, and highway speeds measured 62 - 70 depending on road surface. I keep my tire pressure at recommended levels.
