1 year 4 months later had chance to buy someone’s order. I’ve had it two days. 200 miles. Rural roads at 50 to 65 mph. EB, AWD, 4k…30 mpg!!!
Looks great! Comfortable, only punched it once so far, responsive, handles great. Love the 360 drive assist…safest way to drive any car…will respond quicker than you can if something jumps into your lane: deer, car, tumbleweed!
If it holds up , it’s the best vehicle I’ve owned in a long while…not counting my C6 Corvette!

Congrats on your new Maverick. We have two of them and they are two of the best vehicles I have ever driven and I am 76 yrs old and have bought over 100 new vehicles for personal and business. Ride and handling exceeded expectations and comfort is far better than expected. Just completed a 1300 mi trip and not tired after driving quite a few hours.

Same here. Lariat lux fx4 12,000 miles in ten months. Handles great and faster than it needs to be( I don't understand why anyone wants 400 hp and pull 1.6Gs but its still a free country).

Its very quiet for a truck. Sure, if I turn off the radio I can hear noises when I hit a bump, rough pavement creates tire noise, and if I mash the gas I can hear the engine. I'm old enough to have had the pleasure of riding in brand new 1970s pick ups so this truck is like riding in a library.

So far no issues aside from radio freezing for a few moments but that's it. The B&O system sounds great to me but I usually listen to news or talk radio unless I'm on a road trip.

And its a great road tripper. The adaptive cruise and lane center features add hours to the amount of miles you can comfortably rack up. I've seen the "put your hands on the steering wheel" more times than I care to admit.

Gas mileage is great, total average 26.8 but have seen mid 30s on back roads and easy 30 on the highway.

Wish they offered a two door super cab with a longer bed. I had been looking at Rangers in that configuration for hauling my dirt bike. I've used the back seats a few times for passengers but not enough to feel like I would have regretted purchasing a super cab.

Overall love it

That 360-Assist will spoil you. We got it on my wife's Escape in 2020 and it took me about a month to get used to it and trust it. Now, that is a literal must-have on future vehicles.

I wish it wasn't so sensitive though. I have a steering wheel cover and I have to grip hard or maybe in a certain spot or else the alarm to put the hands on the wheel goes off.

I have more issues on straight roads. As I don't bounce around the lane, the vehicle reads that as not having my hands on the wheel. Fortunately, as my tremors have gotten worse over the years, that has been less of a concern as my natural shake is enough to trigger the wheel.

That's the truth. Got copilot assist on the wife's Bronco Sport. After driving it for three months and my XLT coming in I kinda regret not going Lariat. Fortunately I don't really plan on any road trips in the Maverick as it's just a work rig but you're right, it assist package spoils a person.

It does not measure your grip on the wheel, there are no sensors for fingertips.. It’s looking for feedback from you when you adjust (move) the steering wheel…usually within approx 10 seconds.

That could be it then. I just leave my hand on the wheel and don't apply any steering because that's the whole point of the system in the first place.

Whenever I need to be reminded about improved build quality and how much quieter the Maverick is compared to the trucks of old, I just fire up my old 68 Ranchero 😁. 55 years of automotive evolution at the turn of the key!

Back then trucks were full of squeaks and rattles...it was normal. Even the ones in tv commercials during Bonanza rattled, it was a selling point.
