Some good, spirited off-road driving here that comes to the same conclusion as the Car & Driver editorial - close to being a perfect little rally truck if it had a DSC kill switch and maybe some paddle shifters. They even manage a little bit of drifting in the snow.
They specifically call out suspension performance, especially the shocks and damping, as punching above its weight to make the package more than worth the cost. When Ford first announced the Tremor, they poked a bit of fun at it, but hands-on made them regret doing that. The reviewer personally owns an FX4 and it's funny to hear him refer casually to it as "the little Mav".
Also, they spend some time playing around with the "piped-in" enhanced engine noise in the off-road modes, which hasn't been discussed a lot in prior reviews.
Overall, good fun here.
