Why am I thinking he had some AI assist, and it just got it wrong.

Quick question: Did you perform a BMS (Battery Management System) reset after swapping to the AGM? I've heard conflicting reports on whether the Maverick's computer automatically adjusts its charging profile for the higher capacity H4/AGM without a reset. Curious to hear your thoughts!

The reset takes care of all the values it tracks for the current battery. Cumulative and days in service. (months is HVB)
Those enter in the equation for charging levels to apply.
Newer battery has less resistance, lower charge. Older has higher, higher charge.
BMS system may measure resistance anyway, like a good battery tester does, for that value too. Be smart if they did.
It also causes the BMS Relearn to be like scheduled 1st opportunity it gets. So that night preferred while still a full charge - so it can discover that fact.
If you read the many threads on replacing batteries - yes the reset is done, per the manual instructions. And BMS Relearn is always thrown out as reminder, since mighty important too!
