The oem one lasted 2 years, so it may be a while before I know if this one is better.
Understood. I was just wondering if you did the replacement to help with the 'deep sleep' mode that occurs so frequently. Sounds like you just needed a new battery, but perhaps if you were having deep sleep issues the new battery might help.

Unless someone knows of one that is not generally available, there are no AGM batteries available in the RT4 size. There are ones like the Delco that are available with the posts reversed, but that's a lot more work and is definitely not drop-in.

FYI. Instead of turning headlight off with the knob, when you exit the truck double lock with either the fob or the door handle or the key pad. That turns off all the delay items the courtesy lights, the dash, the info screen, and possibly other things and, I believe tell the truck that you won't be back for awhile. It does not turn off the power points they will stay on if anything is plugged into and drawing current for the delay time OR until the 12v drops to 12.1 volts. The manual recommends that nothing is left plugged in. (Some things may keep current flowing checking to see if anything is turned on).
So — If nothing is left plugged in, and I have a dashcam plugged into a 12V outlet, should that be unplugged every time?

I interpret it that way. Many items may be pulling some current to keep something ready to activate quicker than booting up. Is your dashcam running whether recording or not waiting for power to be turned off? Not using much but still using some?

In fact, merely considering the installation of a dashcam. Read this thread, and was wondering...

I just realized recently that my dashcam wasn't off after going back to my truck, and the 12v plug was indeed staying on after the truck was turned off. I removed the adapter and plugged the dashcam into the Apple Car play USB outlet instead.
