Endless dirt from behind MY26 XL driver side tail light when washing

I take the work truck to a manual car wash frequently - I like to keep the new truck looking good for the owners.

The driver side tail light seems to drain out an *endless* stream of muddy water whenever the tail light is sprayed. Passenger side seems normal.

But the drivers side seems to eject a limitless amount.

Is there some lack of behind-the-fender guards on the XL?

My MY25 XLT does not do the same thing

I'm going to try and make my own shield. The Mabett one looks good but I don't think you really need metal there? There is plastic on the passenger side I think. I'm not looking now. 20 degrees and still snow on the ground here, lol

I drive on dirt / mud / snow - A lot.
The cover noted helps a lot, as well as doing a good job of wiring protection.
There are also two gaping holes at the front of the rear wheel wells.
Mabett makes easy to install covers for those which look like they should have been stock.
