I think the intake kit would help in the sound department-

What Rob said. Spend the money and time to install sound deadening material around the engine compartment and passenger cabin. Turn radio up or make “vroom vroom” sounds as you drive. Problem solved.I’ve walked by a bronco sport and heard the ticking. It didn’t sound good at all and it was just sitting there running (cue the direct injection fanboys). I am happy to hear the groan of a hybrid over the chatter of a direct injection turbo.
I would install a boat load of soundproofing. Under the hood, firewall, doors, floor, maybe the roof, everywhere.
If this is serious? BOV blow off valve, turbo releasing air/pressure when you let off the gas, or when the truck shifts or whatever.BOV noise?
Whats that?
Great idea. The hood and floors alone should make a huge difference.I’ve walked by a bronco sport and heard the ticking. Yes, serious and thanks for the explanation. If this is serious? BOV blow off valve, turbo releasing air/pressure when you let off the gas, or when the truck shifts or whatever.
Lots of cool induction noises on a turbo vehicle, especially with metal piping.
lol, no hate I just always seem to fall for internet trolls so I had to ask. If you are new to turbos, you might find it fun to mess with down the road.Yes, serious and thanks for the explanation.
I haven’t owned a turbo, let alone been involved with the newer street scene, if that’s what it’s even called…I’m old, deal with it, lol.
No worries, I’m not a troll though the wife might argue that at times.lol, no hate I just always seem to fall for internet trolls so I had to ask. If you are new to turbos, you might find it fun to mess with down the road.
This has been my experience too. I need all the flow and minimal back pressure, with minimum additional noise. My opinion, and probably unpopular, but ALL the Ford EB's exhaust should be kept as quiet as possible......they ALL sound really bad.
Let the turbo(s) do the talking.![]()
Any recommendations on sound-proofing material for the engine compartment? Looking for suggestions. Thanks!I’m thinking of adding some soundproofing to the hood because, yeah, not an impressive sounding engine for sure.
