I have a 2025 Maverick XLT hybrid with Co-Pilot 360 and Luxury Package. Someone hit my drivers door mirror. Repair shop said the mirror/glass piece is on backorder and unknown when available. If I buy the whole assembly for about $600 installed, the shop said I have to pay another $400 to get it "calibrated." AI tells me there is no calibration needed. I do have power mirror, Blind Spot and lane monitoring, and heated mirror. I do not have the 360 Camera. The mirror assembly part is SZ6Z-17683-C. Can anyone advise whether calibration is needed. Thanks

I'm going to go out on a limb and say no for the calibration. The sensors for the blind spot monitoring are in the rear quarters, the light on the mirror is simply just an indicator. The sensor/camera for the lane monitoring is located in the upper windshield. It should just be a simple swap/plug-and-play with the corresponding replacement.

If you buy the replacement online you can probably install it yourself for a lot less. The service you mentioned seems high and their re-cal thing seems like they will take you to the cleaners if you let them

I would agree with you. Seems that any information is passed along the wiring and would be self-calibrating, but then, I'm not an expert. If you had a camera, then a calibration might be required, but since you don't . . .

If you don't have a 360 camera, I'm not sure what there is to calibrate. There's no camera or radar there.

thanks, I might do that, especially since may insurance only offered me $43 after my deductible.
