I'm not happy about this, but I guess it's better than a temporary donut spare. Here's the specs -
225/65 R17 vs 215/60 R17 Tire Size Comparison Table with Graphic Visualization (tire-calc.com)
Thanks, I didn't know you could get this type of info. It pisses me off as well. I think it's false advertisement personally. It shows the speedo is different as well. But would it really affect speed if the other three tires were the same larger size?

Where's @Rkbrumbelow he would know.

Okay, I'll bite; HOW can Ford advertise and sell a Full Size Tire that is less than Full Size?
ain’t nothin to “bite” it’s the info that’s out there. It’s not a donut, therefore it’s a full size tire.

doesn’t say “same size” and that’s probably how they get away with it

I think the Co-Pilot 360 requires a full-size spare. I am on a Lariat Lux Package with 18" wheels. Not sure what will show up as a "full size" spare.

based on that sticker the “full size” spare is 1.3” shorter than the on the ground size, or 4.6%.
I said to myself, "That can't be right!"
But https://tiresize.com/calculator/ says you are correct.

The mini-spare is even smaller, height-wise: 3" shorter???
I don't know which models the tire label photos come from, FWD or AWD.

I might be the villageidiot, but I’ve been an automotive shop technician/mechanic/manager/ownerfor the last 22 years.

reality is, it’ll get ya off the road and to a tire shop. That’s all it’s designed for. And if front wheel drive, swap it to the back and it won’t matter at all except for maybe wheel speed sensor activated ABS, which I dunno how this one does there’s yet.

Doesn't AWD require same size tires? I know if you had a blowout on a Subaru and you had to replace a tire you had to check measurements. If it was too much difference I believe I had to replace either all of the tires or the two front or rear, whichever the case. But that got expensive.

not sure how fords AWD system is but I know on a lot of AWD cars thats a big no no.
Its all kinda weird with wheel speed sensors, allowed tolerances in different sizing, and with AWDs and some 4WDs today it also considers locking vs. free axle. I had a 2016 Jeep where if I used the donut spare, that drive axle would not engage nor lock as it was out of acceptable tolerance range. The traction control light would come on, but it also blocked features that could cause damage.

Same here.
18’s only matter to the rim size, you can have a 14” wheel with a same size outer diameter tire as a 18” wheel/tire

I don’t think the brakes change from package to package, and that is the only thing that would matter what wheel size is required.

Well I guess it is FULL Size when compared to the Mini Size.

This is from an XLT Hybrid with no-options:

This thread is one of the reasons I subscribe/visit auto forums -- I just "assumed" Ford stating "full size spare" meant the same/identical size...

Same here. Oh well, guess I'll be looking for a real wheel and tire when and if I ever get my Maverick Hybrid.

EDIT: Thinking about canceling the upgrade wheels and buying my own.
