Full size spare or not full size spare?

I plan on adding a true full size spare with a black steelie. Worst case you have to deflate it a bit for it to fit and then pump it back up when it’s on. I’m tired of small donut spares.

Do NOT waste your money on a Ford so called "Full Size Spare" there is no such thing unless you get one yourself and yes a 17" from an XL or XLT fits. Get one with a sensor and your all set.

Yep saw your post as well. A 215/60R17 would definitely work better than the 155 would though. For the cost of the add-on, it's not a bad deal. $115 vs. trying to either find a used spare wheel in 5x108 or buying a new one is still more expensive and for most people probably not worth it.

I agree though - it should NOT be considered a full size spare unless it's actually the same size as the full size tires the vehicle is equipped with.

You don't have to deflate. I tested on my spare with a full size 245/65R17 KO2.
