Does flat towing add miles to the odometer?

NO. Flat Towing the Maverick will not add miles to the odometer.

If your Maverick is a '23, it is NOT flat towable. There was a transmission change beginning in '25 that allows flat towing. Check your owners manual before spending any money to prep for flat towing. I'll be hooking up my '25 behind the RV to head out in two weeks or so.

Hybrid IS flat towable. I flat tow my 23 often.

Cool! I know there was a tranny change to -28 for '25. I'da got one earlier knowing this.

Short answer is no. I've towed my 2023 XLT Hybrid almost 25 K miles and the odometer just turned over to 8 K miles.
Check out etrailer.com for base plates, tow bars and lighting kits. I would look closely at the Demco base plate, it is the least invasive install and can be used with multiple tow bars. I installed a Roadmaster base plate which required removal of the lower Active Shutter assembly, the Demco does not. The Demco was not yet available when I installed my base plate.

You might want to keep track of the towed miles for the tires.

Reading the comments on etrailer, some have had to move their Adaptive Cruise Control sensor.
Not interested in having to do that then bring to dealer for a recalibration.
Hopefully I can find a baseplate that fits with little to no additional modifications.
Seems like the companies that make them to fit multiple models versus one designed specifically for the Maverick Hybrid.
