Short answer is no. I've towed my 2023 XLT Hybrid almost 25 K miles and the odometer just turned over to 8 K miles.
Check out etrailer.com for base plates, tow bars and lighting kits. I would look closely at the Demco base plate, it is the least invasive install and can be used with multiple tow...
My take on this is: 6 hours of driving equals about 400 miles (average 65 mph) and close to or over 7 hours on the road (a fuel stop & a couple of rest stops, account for at least an hour). For me 400 miles is a good day. Stopping and starting the engine means disabling neutral tow and enabling...
I keep a 10 mm box/open end wrench in the glove box for the now rare occasions when the Mav's little brain freezes up. Remove the battery negative cable for a few seconds and it resets the the Mav's computers. I have towed my Mav for a bit over 26 K miles and I think in the last year I can only...
Try this number: VNZ6Z16C900A. That's the number that comes up for the one I have, but as you already know it is no longer listed on the Ford Accessories store. It is an Aeroeskin product.
I installed the Roadmaster base plate on my 2023 XLT Hybrid and am using a Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain tow bar.. That baseplate required some significant trimming and removal of the lower active air vanes. I believe the Demco base plate requires less trimming and leaves the active air system...
I have a Ford smooth smoked hood protector. After I got it home I found it is not recommended to be installed on the Paint Protection Film. It is just taking up space in my garage, PM me and we can work out a deal.
Modern vehicles should be as reliable as 70's and 80's vehicles, its all relative. 70's and 80's vehicles had carburetors, points, drum brakes and simple exhaust system and likely no computers. Modern cars have fuel injection, electronic ignition, disk brakes with ABS and dozens of computers...
Every Maverick should come with a 10mm box/open wrench in the glovebox - to be used whenever "stupid" mode occurs. That way one can quickly disconnect the negative battery cable (kinda of a slap to back of its head) and continue on.
BTW, no need to wait, just loosen it, pull it off, put it back...
I think Fred's video skills need some help. Looks like he records things in "Selfie" mode which provides an inverted view. It was a little confusing at first to see him sitting in a right hand drive Maverick :)
I bought a Jason Pace Plus - $2558 installed in 2023. Also installed a Bed Rug (put it in before the top was set on). It does have a drop down window in the front which is a necessity to keep the outside of the Maverick rear window and topper windows clean.
Order this set of bolts, nut fasteners, and clips from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BFGBHWDX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
For about $9 this should cover just about all of the little POS clip/nut fasteners Ford uses on the Maverick.
I installed the Roadmaster base plate on my 2023 XLT, which like the Blue Ox requires removing the lower active shutter vanes. The Demco baseplate does not require removal of any vanes. The Demco was not available when I installed my baseplate or I would have gone with it. I have a Roadmaster...
Hi everyone,
2 years ago today I took delivery of my 2023 Atlas Blue XLT Hybrid. Ordered on 9/19/2022, so took just over 12 months to get the truck.
I bought the truck to upgrade from a 2006 Jeep Liberty as the towed for my Motor Home. The Maverick checked off my needs: towable, room to carry...
Colt,
Your situation is very curious. I have towed my Mav nearly 20k miles with only a few annoying neutral tow gremlins. On our last trip on the third day after about 4 hours of travel my RVI Brake monitor alarmed with a "Low Voltage" warning. I pulled over and went to check and found the Mav...
All is well with my Mav. At this point it seems to have been a one off event. By now we have over 15k miles towing the Mav 4 down with no issues. I have become extra careful with rough/bumpy turns, slow and easy is the way now.
I don't care for that "wet" look that most of the tire dressing produce, but I do want my tires to look black. I use 303 Aerospace Protectant which provides a nice black rubber look without the mess you guys are trying to avoid. It's sprayed on and buffed off. I provides a nice look and gives...
My 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid actually replaced 2 vehicles: a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk that was my daily driver and a 2006 Jeep Liberty that I towed behind my motorhome. The Maverick is an economical daily driver that can be towed 4 down behind the motorhome= home run!. Plus the maverick has...
