This is why I don't buy black cars in the high desert anymore, lol. I'm sure the Mav in dark grey gets almost as hot, but the AC and ceramic tints make up for it at least
I‘m in the opposite spectrum of the high desert, the NE. While temps can get up in the high 80’s to 90 in the summer it’s nothing like what you experience. The AC in my Mav is awesome and I’m cool within no time. Plus, black is easier to pick out in the snow. 🤣

Yes, lighter colors will be cooler in the summer then dark colors. This also goes for interiors. A white car with a white interior is like magic compared to a black on black.

But none of this matters with the mav, because Ford built the Mav around an industrial refrigeration unit that cools down incredibly quick, and with remote start my Mavis cold by the time I walk to it.
I agree that a lighter exterior color matters on sunny days. In addition, lighter colors are more noticeable at night when driving. Even with all lights on it is amazing how much easier for others to notice you and prevent accidents while night driving. And in my case, the exterior color I chose was the best choice to coordinate with my ActiveX interior color. But I digress, to each his own......just be happy with your MAV and enjoy a well designed truck.

Reminds me of the speed targets I shoot at. Game is to not cut paper but send everything through the holes.
Pew pew pew.

I almost always get white (or even better off-white / cream if available).

For the reason spoken about a lot above (less prone to retaining heat) but also because white is more noticeable on the road. It makes it slightly less likely to be in an accident due to “blending in”. Related, I believe insurance companies see this data and slightly adjust rates for white coloured vehicles.

Not a Maverick but thought this video worth posting. Basically looking at the outside and inside difference between a white vs black exterior. I think a lighter color interior like beige may make a noticeable difference as well. From experience I have and can touch a white vehicle where a dark vehicle i couldn't without burning my hand. Anyway thought the video interesting and informative.

The only thing that matters is that it is a color. In today’s society, vehicle colors have gotten so bland. It seems that we live in a colorless society where everything is black, white, grey, beige, dark blue, etc. Not saying those colors are bad. Just bring some colors choices back.

Of course color is a personal preference. But as we all know White objects reflect all wavelengths of light, keeping surfaces cooler. In contrast, black objects absorb all wavelengths of light, converting that light energy into thermal energy. This causes black items to heat up much faster and reach higher temperatures in the sun

The only reason many car are withe is because the withe pigment is the cheapest one, the red pigment is the one that degrades faster and black is the one that get hotter. I like vivid colors, Black, withe and Gray/Silver are boring but most of everything you find in a dealer is exactly that, that why I ordered my EB Maverick Red, Green was second choice, If the had the Baby Bleu back in 25 I would have gone that way.

Color is everything to me!
In Russia and Europe almost everything is black, silver/grey, white or light metallic blue.

We get all that plus :

Hot Pepper Red,
Candy Red,
Cherry Red,

Red Pick up trucks and Red Necks Rule !

Velocity Blue,
That beautiful green Maverick,
School bus Yellow,
Sky Blue, etc.
That’s Color,
That’s My America !

I’m surprised I haven’t seen Ford do
Pepto-Bismol pink
Or
Baby shit green.
Where’s Fire Engine Red gone ?
When I went to test drive the Mav - it was pink…. Thought of wearing a mas

Sometimes a color choice has ramifications beyond the vehicle itself.
My wife noted that I could buy a white Maverick, provided I was willing to sleep on the couch.

When heat retention also increases domestic tranquility, Carbonized Gray Metallic exceeds the temperature advantages of a white painted truck...
