  1. GPS Ripoff

Valid complaint. All my Toyotas did not need a subscription for the maps to work. It’s stupid. I, unlike very few folks, don’t always have a phone with me. Life is much simpler that way. I, like you probably, was able to grow up just fine without a phone in hand. šŸ˜‚ The GPS is just an...
  2. Tailgate Assist Strut - Binding with the tailgate cable

I had the same issue with mine after I first installed it. I had to manually manipulate the cable a little for it to get past the strut. After several times of it opening, I no longer have issues. May just be a wear and tear type thing. Who knows. Hope that helps.
  3. Anyone ever have issues getting warranty service at dealers they didn't buy from?

I wouldn’t think so. From what I understand, dealers make more money from service than the sale. I might be wrong. On the other hand, I would leave appropriate reviews on google and yelp if that happened to me. That does wonders.
  4. Terrible gas mileage!

I have the 25 Lariat AWD hybri I have the 25 Lariat AWD hybrid. I always keep mine in eco mode. This is my average since new. I know others have done better.
  5. why i did not get to buy my 2025 lariat today in morgan hill calif

Everything made sense after you said California. šŸ˜‚ I wrote a personal check for mine and all I needed was a drivers license. I’m not going through the effort to pay any more than I need to or jump through additional hoops. A lot of dealers hold way too much power.
  6. Anyone noticed anything odd with the last over the air Update on 2025 Maverick's?

Mine reset the range. It was almost like a factory reset. I remember the range said like 285 on my 2025 hybrid with a full tank when I bought it. It did the same thing after the update. My tanks was almost full and said the same thing. It’s back to the normal 600ish now.
  7. Hybrid braking tips to maximize MPG?

Exactly. I always find it interesting that folks hit warp 5 going to a red light, sliding in sideways like they are going to get a trophy for getting there first. šŸ˜‚.
  8. Hybrid braking tips to maximize MPG?

In my opinion, if you are driving a hybrid correctly, you shouldn’t have to use your brakes much. Also keeping in mind traffic courtesy. I have a Prius. First brake change at 110k. I have a Hybrid Highlander 85k. Have done brakes yet.
  9. 2025 Lariat - EZ Pass Transponder Placement

I have the I Pass sticker on mine mounted right behind the rear view mirror. I’ve had no problems. However, if you go through parts of OH ie near Cleveland, it won’t work in the fast pass lane. You have to go through the ā€œGet a ticket laneā€ and give them your transponder number and they’ll...
  10. P Brake on when shifting to P possible?

Old school thought was that you are not putting extra pressure on the parking pinion (pawl). And, generally this is still recommended.
  11. Before and after

I removed the front plate bracket on my other car. I went to Home Depot got two plastic plugs, primed them, and painted with touch up paint. You can’t tell there were two holes and you really can’t tell unless you are specifically looking for it.
  12. First Oil Change at 10,000 Miles w/ Photo

I guess I’m old school thought. I did my first oil change at 2k. Computer read 1k engine and 1k electric more or less. I know they say engines have come a long way over the past 50 years, but a $90 oil change just seems like cheap insurance. And I feel more comfortable. šŸ˜€. I worked for an...
  13. Post pic - How did you transport your LED TV using the Mav? Standing?

I actually transported a 65ā€ tv 30 miles and had it lying flat in the bed of my truck. Set it up and had no problems. I’ve had several other people say the same thing 808Goose! Said.
  14. Custom flexible bed divider DIY - Updated with specs

Thanks for sharing. This is an awesome idea. I am currently using a 2x6 that is a bit cumbersome to lift in and out. The hinge makes it more practical. For those of us that don’t have dado capabilities, I am wondering if using lattice strips tacked to the 2x6 or such with glue and brad nails...
  15. First weekend using the Maverick - routine shopping runs

I think that is a very fair assessment. I’m particularly a fan of hybrids and not too much a fan of turbos. They both have their place. I like the hybrids because they don’t have the hard start of the new engines after coming to a stop at a red light. I know you can disable it each time you...
  16. Pic request: 2025 Maverick WITH hood bug deflector installed

This is the one by weather tech. All other photos seemed to be Ford or otherwise. I personally liked the shiny style like ford since it matches the grill.
  17. She's here!

Just curious - I have the same exact truck. Had windows tinted already and want to undercoat. What product are you using for undercoat. I live in Chicago area as well. I was looking at wool wax as I’ve used the before. Thx.
  18. Too many miles on my brand new 2025 Ford Maverick?!?!!

Mine had 16 on it. I’ve bought other new cars where they had 2 or 3 miles. I asked about it at the dealership. I too wasn’t pleased, but what do you do. I ordered mine Aug 2 and picked up on 2/8. While looking, the dealer said on a couple of occasions that they never show cars that are...
  19. New Order - 2025 Lariat FHEV AWD

I ordered mine on Aug 2nd. Production date of Jan 13, Arrived at dealer on Feb 8. I ordered the Ruby red Lariat, AWD, Tow, and Black app package. I’ll try to post a pic. This is my first reply on the page. I always watched Tim Bartz Long McArthur Ford YouTube. He gave great info. He says...
