Hi. Can anyone with a 23 Mav tell me if it has the same dash rattle as the 22 YM.
Yep..In the right hand dash and rear seat area...Very annoying since you cannot drown out the sound with the cheap ass radio in the truck...

Right side door and dash and center dash rattle ...Sick of comments it is a cheap vehicle and to expect this..Have a 2008 civic with no such issues ...It is all about the cheap materials and low build quality...Back to dealer again to attempt repair..Very annoying to drive bout ready to dump it it is still worth 3 k more than I paid for it...

My 2023 Maverick rattled terribly from a number of areas mostly when driving over rough roads.

First, thinking it was the dashboard as the noise came from the front/center, I traced it down to the sunvisor outer mounts and inner clips on both sides. Outer mounts were loose and the metal clip holding to the roof structure rattled. Fixed by attaching fuzzy side of Velcro over metal clip and then retightening. The inner clips which hold the sunvisor were not installed correctly (not aligned with inner plastic roof mounts) and also rattled. Fix there was to take apart and realign and then re-tighten. Also used the fuzzy Velcro underneath these to quiet any possible future plastic-on-roof metal rattle possibilities.

Then, I found the wiring harness connector inside the passenger side of the center console to rattle against the cover. Here, I used a strategically placed large strip of fuzzy Velcro on the inside of the cover and on the wiring harness which fixed this.

Another wiring harness connector (near the fusebox above the carpet on the pasenger side) was found to rattle. This was fixed by putting 2 thick round felt furniture feet under the harness both above and below stopping it from shaking in mount and rattling with the plastic underneath.

Then, I found the glovebox latching pins rattling with the glovebox closed. There I used a little piece of fuzzy Velcro in the holes the pins enter when closed which fixed that issue. (This needs an across-the-board manufacturer fix with rubber grommets in the holes.)

I also found both side front window control switch covers to rattle. The switch assemblies rattled in their mounting clips and the cover rattled against the underneath door plastic. Fuzzy Velcro again between switch assemblies and clips and under the covers which stopped those.

Lastly, I do have the buzz from the passenger B-pillar seatbelt mount which I have not had the time to troubleshoot and fix.

Surprisingly, there are no window alignment puck noises!! (I suspect my truck had the airbag recall done before I purchased it off the lot as the driver B-pillar plastic and weatherstripping against the headliner was misaligned- and, which is what probably caused the sunvisor mount rattles- where I suspect the pucks were removed during that recall process.)

But for these unnecessary noise issues and the rear camera harness connector having a bent/broken pin throwing a code the first time it rained (warranty repair), all is otherwise good at 3 months and 2300 miles!!

My 23 XLT has dash rattle/knock sound. So far with son in passenger seat, can hear it. He tries feeling, pressing, pushing certain areas to see if it stops. Hard to ascertain where coming from. Took to dealer, let them handle it . Had truck for 5 days, no communication from dealer on status, progress. I can see on Ford Pass app map no movements, still sitting in a storage lot . After more queries on progress and no replies, I went to dealer to retrieve the truck. Screw em.

I gonna try the foam and straw tricks others tried. If those not work, try removing glove box, do visual, poke around under there see if anything loose.

Failing thst, get case of that Good Stuff foam spray, fill under there see if dash rattle….

I have had endless rattles also. I am keeping my Mav for the time being because there is nothing else to buy. If Toyota drops a Mav sized truck I will be in line. Ford over-cheaped out on what is now a $30k truck. If it was really $20k I might have understood, but that extra $10k takes away a lot of my understanding.

Try lightly pushing and pulling on the black windshield defroster vents to see if it's that. That's the issue I have. I also had the windshield alignment pegs clocking. That got worse with lower temps.

Will do, as soon as son gets in passenger seat, we go for spin.

Every new vehicle I've ever owned developed some rattle or other that the dealer had to deal with.

The dealer has failed to address this warranty problem likely because they have more profitable work they'd like to do first.

I'd contact the sales manager (not the service manager) and express your disappointment in the "post sales experience" and ask if there is anything he/she can do. They know this is an opportunity to avoid headache that come with poor reviews online and dealing with Ford customer service.
