Do you display your tach

I realized that I don't pay any attention to the tech, so I decided to de-clutter the display by removing it. I like the display better without it. The fact that it is very similar to the water temp gauge and the fuel gauge also prompted me to hide it. Does anyone have any thoughts as to the benefit of displaying the tach. The truck is 2 wheel drive, so 100% of my driving is local roads, occasional highway, and in "normal" diving mode.

I have a 2024 XLT, and fortunately the tach is a real gauge so I have no choice in displaying it. It comes in handy when downshifting on steep mountain pass descents. That is, braking in tow/haul or sport modes, or using "L".

More info options would be even better, like trans temp, or battery voltage for the temperamental mavericks.

Its something I never understood, digital displays should have tons of customization, and they DID 12 years ago, but Ford has stripped nearly all of that out of the sync 4 version. Why not just put a speedo gauge in and call it a day? Why have this screen if you are not going to use it?

Every gauge outside the speedometer is useless. DTE can replace the fuel gauge and the rest you wait for the idiot light.

your comment about the tach being pointless with an automatic transmission is even more true once Ford decided to take away our ability to select a gear. Just “D” and “L”. They have dumb down the controls in this truck that some things like a tach have little to no use.

My 2026 Tremor has paddle shifters.
Does your 2024 ?

I use it but don't like that it's like the water temp and fuel gauge like you mentioned!!
