That I believe is hill assist. What it is supposed to do according the owners manual is when you are on an incline lets say parked and put it into drive it will hold the brakes for a few seconds so the vehicle doesn't roll into whatever is downhill from it.

If it is hill assist there is a forscan code for it that should show if it is enabled or not. Far as I know it doesn't require any extra hardware than what is already installed on the lowest trim and option levels.
No, it is active only when moving, and prevents a buildup of speed when going downhill.

I spent a day with a hybrid this past weekend and that green light came on when coasting down a hill at driving speed. It's more of a regen feature and the reason it's on hybrids regardless of CP360 or not.

Hybrid owners - I got the following back from FORScan, but will not be able to do anything with it today. Who is going to beat me to it, and report back?

"Thanks for the debug information, we have fixed the problem, here is the test build:"

https://forscan.org/download/FORScanSetup2.3.46.test20220126.exe
I've had one user pm me confirming the ABS programming on their hybrid worked with this. Good job getting the forscan team to resolve the issue. I am going to add this to the programming post.

Can also conform with the new beta I was able to get the abs module programmed
As I've mentioned to others in PM. If you want to test if it is working correctly. reset your trip meter and make sure you have a full tank or close to it. Go take a 20+ mile trip w/CC on, one way with the ABS setting changed. Reset the trip meter and reprogram the ABS to stock then drive back w/CC on. Compare the MPG for each trip. There should be about a 5 - 8 MPG difference for each run and the MPG with it set should be what you've been normally getting for the same driving conditions + / - maybe up to 1 MPG.

I can confirm the same.

Just a reminder - for those who use the tool, please consider paying for 1-year ($10) or 3-year ($20) license. It is an amazing tool, and worth supporting.

For adaptive cruise control this is what I know is needed so far.

For the steering wheel switches the LH and RH switches needed are

SW8585 for the LH switch for ACC

SW8576 for the RH switch

The SCCM code for the SW8585 / SW8576 combo should be
724-02-01 1290 6820 3088

That left hand switch should also work for regular cruise control with the adaptive and lane center buttons being disabled if you don't also put in the speed sensor in the front grille. If you haven't already done the CC upgrade this switch will cost more $30ish vs. $90ish dollars but will future proof you if you want to add in the speed sensor assembly later on to get ACC, Lane Center, evasive steering and the front intersection warning.

The picture is of SW8585 and the upper right button is the standard CC button, the adaptive and lane center buttons are on the left.

I wonder what the buttons look like with co-pilot 360 on an XL? Didn't CP-360 include lane correction?

Or is that different that lane centering?

For the speed sensor the part number is 9E731
Right now the sensor runs about $662

There is also a mounting bracket, cover and screws that are needed to mount it. These run about $120 for all the pieces. If extra wiring is needed I do not know right now.

These parts and the switches should be all you need to enable adaptive cruise control, Lane Center. Evasive Steering and intersection warning afterwards using forscan.

Cost for all the parts about $912. Not cheap but consider it is 4k more to get this after you've already paid to trade up on the trims to a Lariat if this was the only reason you did so. I think is worth it from a cost analysis at any trim level if it can be made to work which it should be able to but that still needs to be confirmed.

On the left you mean. I wonder what the buttons look like with co-pilot 360 on an XL? Didn't CP-360 include lane correction?

Lane Keep is different from Lane Centering.

Take a look at the dealer literature for Copilot posted by Granger Ford there.

The Lane Keep button is on the left steering wheel stalk with your turn signals.
