Decided a couple weeks ago I wanted to make a bed divider for my Maverick. I decided to make it with customizable sections. I screwed two pieces of 2x6 to the cross bed 2x6 then notched the vertical pieces every 6 inches from the center. I then attached other 2x6 pieces to same length 2x4s to make the dividers. I made 3 dividers, one that’s bed length, and two others that fit the length of either side of cross bed 2x6. I’m not an experienced wood worker so I need to work on the notches to have the dividers go in smoothly but that’s easy enough. Photos included to help my description.

If I’m honest, I didn’t think about it. If want to sound like I knew what I was doing, I wanted them elevated to keep them out of any water that would be in the grooves if they weren’t draining for some reason. Lol

I read some thread on here that said it was 54 1/4 inches which is what I cut it to and it works, but if I were cutting it again I’d leave it a tiny bit longer then maybe do a trim cut.

I’m going to use them to help keep stuff from bouncing around in the bed that isn’t big enough to strap down. I also put D-rings on the dividers to use bungee cords to hold stuff down.

Probably right length but I'm waiting to get SIBL sprayed before committing length. Liner will make a slight difference.

I did this DIY divider in 3/4” PVC and two hinge latches. I painted it with SIBL from a rattle can. 54 1/4 “ is right on with a SIBL in place.
