I went two 2X6’s so I go can throw one up front if I need to or just have a higher divider. I can also bungee an item on the front and backside of the boards by putting the bungees between the two boards. What is the purpose of the hinges? I have a standard 2x6 painted matte black in mine. Your's is pretty but not seeing the reason for the hinges?
I like how you reused the OEM tiedowns too. Being today is the 4th of july heading into my weekend off I doubt I will get started on my steel foldable divider today, but since I added my own tiedown tracks made of logistics track or L track basically aircraft seat track, I have 2 of these I removed and will figure out how I want to incorporate them into my steel divider. It's been ever evolving in my head including how I plan on latching it.The lockable hinges are a great idea. I followed your advice and bought them at Amazon.
The hinges makes it versatile and easy to install !!

Does it fold flat to zero degrees like the hinge description says?Since I installed my roof rack on the side rails, I can't slide up the divider. DIY bed divider with lockable hinges. I used a lighter weight 1x8 pine wood x2 cut to 54 1/4, lightly stained black. Cut in half and install lockable hinges for easy removal. Cheap hinge a pair for $12

I made the same damn thing!
it’s nearly impossible to install/remove without being hinged.
