Maverick Truck Bed Divider

I could not find a commercial truck bed divider for Maverick. Those available are costly, so I made my own. Used a cheap handsome 1’ by 6’ shelf board. Cut to fit a bit loosely. Ripped shelf in have. Left over portions cut in half and glued, nailed and screwed to each bed divider end. Red stain and polyurethane added. Exactly what I was looking for. Lighter and easier to store and fit into place.

Do you find it difficult to keep dishes, books, or elves on that shelf? Seems impractical.

FWD to cab = a little over 3 foot. Folded Topper covers about half that space.
Divider to tail gate a little less than 16 inches.

Neglected to mention Red OAK Stain. Also rasped and sanded edges for I know as I wheel divider in and out of truck bed area that it will probably get marred. It is perfect for my needs.

I really was looking for a car/truck (CART). This is more like a Truck/car. So for most of my toting needs, this small rear end space represents my new trunk. Also very functional for my Church work days where tools/supplies go in rear of truck bed, while accumulated landscaping debris in back. Topper a little in the way, but best options for my personal every day homeowner needs. I don’t live in rural area, don’t own boat or RV and don’t off road for need or fun. So no need to just carry air around in a normal size truck. My previous Toyota Pruis met most of my casual trucking needs, but not all. Also the rest of family needs a truck only on a few occasions, so this Maverick will be used by family members, as needed.
