My 2022 Lariat is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, even with the numerous recalls. IMO, Ford screwed me by charging $4000 to replace a 2.0 engine on my 2017 Edge with 51000 miles. It was out of warranty by 1 year, but the problem was well known by Ford; design defect. They did discount the cost but still $4000 out of pocket.

Sorry I'm newer here and everyone is in a tizzy.. esp because im new lol
It's to be expected. When your first post out of the gate as a member is to bash your Maverick on a Maverick forum.
Don't be surprised when you get push back.

Wish I had good news! It could have been a great truck, looks like we got a bad one. If things were handled appropriately this could have been a whole different story. I know no one has to like nor agree with what I post, that the beauty of free will. But, this is what happened to me and I am going to talk about it. 🤷‍♀️

Mexican's don't celebrate that. It's a Gringo holiday. And this post smells of Major trolling, or rotten fish. Not sure which.

I'm not sure if I said the day after "Día de la Independencia" it would have been received as funny. But if built in the US I would have called it a Monday car. But I agree the OP has some inconsistencies in the details (turbo hybrid) that make it seem like trolling.

What made you confident to get a Maverick with 2.0L Ecoboost after that experience?

there have been numerous suggestions in this thread about how to better go about fixing your issue because you do still own it.

you never cared about that at all. you just wanted to bitch about it and try to convince us that you're not an idiot and Ford Motor Company did you wrong.

failed on both counts. bye.

My wife had one Ecoboost, a 2013 Escape. No major issues but there were a few. Enough That I won't buy an EB engine. Hybrid? Yes. 5.0? YES!

Your frustration with this situation is evident and it's unfortunate that your first post here hasn't gone well. I'd like to offer some pointers on how to get a different response in the future, regardless of whether it's on this forum or another brand forum.

The Maverick has been available since late 2021. In 6 days, I'll pass the 3-year mark with mine, during which time I've had no issues other than recalls.

In that span of time this forum has acquired hundreds of members with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of collective miles and more than a few horror stories of defective trucks and failed service experiences. Those stories are, nonetheless, a small minority of the owner experiences. The majority of serious issues seem to have affected primarily hybrids, not EB's.

Your post would have made perfect sense to me if it had been focused on leveraging that knowledge base to help get you to a successful resolution. Instead, it seemed like you thought your experience was definitive and you needed to let us all know. That may not have been anywhere near the real intent but it seems I'm not the only one who got that vibe from it.

The lack of accurate details helped fuel the notion that your description of the issue might have been distorted because you didn't quite know what you actually own (the hybrid/EB confusion, which you subsequently explained).

I also think there's been some miscommunication about the warranty service process and, consequently, a misunderstanding of what you were actually saying. Ford would not tell your dealer not to service you, but they very well might tell the dealer they aren't paying for warranty work without a clear diagnosis of the problem. The dealer then tells you that Ford refused to cover the service work, thereby leaving you in the valley of the vendors because they couldn't actually diagnose the problem or explain it properly to Ford.

Since you still own the truck, my advice to you is to hang in there, at least as far as this forum is concerned. Start the conversation over, with a clear and factual description of the problem (no editorial comments) and how the process unfolded. That sets the stage for the members here to help you with their technical knowledge and their experience dealing with service issues. We have members who work in dealership service departments who may be able to offer valuable insights.

You may be beyond that at this point, but that's your call. If you are, I'd encourage you, if you're in a position to do so, to trade the truck in on something from another brand that you'll feel confident driving.

Sounds like some dealers (especially in large cities) are turds. My dealer (Reineke Ford in Tiffin, Ohio) is the greatest. I trust them 100%.
I had a rattle in my 2024 Lariat and they fixed it on the first try. It was broken clips in the passenger B pillar. I also own a 2021 BSBL and have 36,000 nearly trouble free miles. Most Fords are great vehicles. The problem is that happy customers are usually the quiet ones.
